There is nothing like the sound of rain on a tent when you are snug in a warm sleeping bag. It beats any hotel, provided the tent doesn't leak, of course !!!!
I battle with severe depression and anxiety along with having personality disorder but You videos calm my troubled mind and relax me. Thank you and stay safe
Hang in there Robb! This too will pass. In 2020 I suffered the same and I didn’t know if I would make it. I’m still not perfect but I can now enjoy my days. You will too!
Same here Rob, last year almost ended in tragedy for me due to depression and anxiety but these types of videos pretty much saved me. I love watching these as I’m originally from Wales and now live in the US but this does give me a little taste of home even if I have a little hiraeth.
I am so glad I found your channel! I am a solo woman hiker and camper, so I am looking forward to watching your adventures. My friends don't understand the absolute joy it brings me to be out on my own.
I admire your spirit. I have booked a holiday one week camping and the next in a cottage on my own, (hubby is having his own solo cycling adventure in France) I’m staying on a camp site and feel pretty nervous about it, but I’m so looking forward to it too, we’ve been married for 30 years and it’s the first time we’ve ever done anything on our own separately. It’s not a wild camping thing like you but it’s a big adventure for me. My friends think I’m crazy, some even say won’t one of your ( grown up) kids go with you? They don’t get it 😂
Dear Clare , I used to live on an old dive boat on the Atlantic ocean , then i had a triple stroke I now live in extra care housing , an I watch your adventures , I get your feelings viewing 'the sky at night' I understand the peace that solitude brings and I get the adrenelin rush /fear when nature can throw a storm at you , keep doing what your doing , you get one life keep living yours to the maximum , God bless.
EXACTLY! It's almost really not the destination that matters, but the journey. I know just what you mean on an emotional level, though I cannot really do it justice in terms of english.
Hello Claire.i wish you Good Luck or the New year.i thank you for showing beautiful landscapes.although.keep safe .i saw someone in your Web site Who des not want to l'ose his mom
You are a true master of your craft. A mountain woman, a photographer, videographer and video editor, producer, logistician, drone pilot, chef, documentary author, map reader, endurance athlete, naturalist, story teller, muse, bad ass, gentle and patient teacher, and so much more. Thank you for creating and sharing your adventures. I would feel very safe in the wilderness if you were to be a wilderness guide and ranger in my wolf pack. 🐺
This film was amazing. Beautifully shot, edited, great narration with a soft voice which is calming. The quality overall was as good as if it was on TV. I am Autistic and find your films very relaxing and they help me sleep at night as i watch them in the evening. You are a very talented young lady. Thank You Clare x
Walking in the snow-covered mountains for the first time left a lasting impression on me. The serene silence I encountered will forever remain etched in my memory.
Really great video! Most of my experiences out in the snow haven't been as relaxing as yours. A good way to stop your boots from freezing is to keep them in a waterproof bag inside your sleeping system much like you did with your electronics. I've camped under tarps from northern Europe to the antarctic in winter and I know that your personal administration is what makes the absolute difference in those environments. Just keeping your boots warm makes such a difference in the morning when you emerge from your sleeping bag.
If ever you start to panic, or get afraid. Stop, think, and take your time. Most people do silly mistakes when they start to panic. You did the right thing, you can always do the summit another day. Great video as always, thanks for taking us on your adventure.
This. The only time I've had a serious fall on a mountain was when I realised I was running really late and needed to come down Eagle crag directly into Borrowdale. The guidebook basically said "don't descend this route if you didn't come up it as the way is tricky" I ignored it and ended up loosing my footing in damp ground and bouncing about 40 feet down a slope. Nothing apart from my pride injured, but ever since I take a much more pragmatic and cautious approach to mountains. If I'm not comfortable, I don't do it.
I watch your videos every night before go to bed recently ,it's really make me peaceful and I real enjoy it, even I almost never went camping before 😅. Thank you ❤
I'm ex military, long time ago.....and at the age now where "Camping", if not in a Motel room (LOL) , involves a tarp on the ground, a well (fly)screened tent with a collapsible "gazebo" over the top... and a camping fridge....and a foam mattress with sheets and a quilt...lol In Australia of course we have so many insects that can be annoying or even painful that some sort of screened shelter is NOT a luxury...but I love watching your little expeditions... carry in and carry out. In that often "interesting " UK weather!
Your videos have always been great, but you really are going to the next level, great editing, you can feel your passion and professionalism in everything you do. Showing the beauty of wild camping but also that you have to respect whats around you. You deserve any success that comes your way.
Following you for some time now but I'd never seen this one. Absolutely wonderful video, what a beautiful landscape covered in snow. So glad you had the right equipment to enjoy the otherwise dangerous situation. And yes it's the journey itself that matters. Dare to explore your dreams but safety first. You're an inspiration. So glad I found your channel.
Clare l’ve been watching your fantastic adventures only for a short while, but l’m constantly amazed at your bravery. A beautiful young woman that’s confident, extremely sensible but still prepared to push her self just enough to see what’s around the next corner. Keep up your great work it’s amazing to see. Good luck and stay safe. Cheers from Australia
I rarely comment on videos, but this really was a beautiful one. I love how open you are about not exceeding what you feel safe doing. I hope you keep making these amazing videos
So much respect for your strength in lugging not only your personal gear but all the filming stuff too, up such steep slopes, and then for putting your safety first and deciding 'enough', and backing down. There's enough glorification of pushing through comfort zones and powering on to some predetermined goal. I think this might be one subtle difference between women and men, actually. That women (especially mothers) have an in-built danger meter and a feeling that our survival matters for more than just ourselves. You walk the fine line between caution and courage with humor and with your feet on the ground. I am really loving your videos.
I'm full of admiration for how you push through your comfort level. I've been camping under canvas for nearly half a century and love it more now than ever. There's not a lot better. It's nice to see someone showing how amazing it is, so well. Great comment, "In love with life itself." The holy grail of wellbeing.
Hellooo fellow camper 🤗 ahh this is so amazing! I hope I will be able to keep camping so long :) only 5 years for me, but it has been life-changing. Thank you for watching and have a lovely weekend ~ Claire 🐻
Talk about a winter wonderland, a beautiful woman in a beautiful place, how lucky and have you are for doing this, and how privileged and lucky I am to have found your vids. Thank you.
Claire, this may have been one of your most beautiful videos…I loved the slow-mo snowfall and the moonlit shots. Of course, your smiling face is such a lesson to viewers: the difference between disaster and adventure is attitude, and while you acknowledge anxieties, you surmount them with your buoyant spirit and celebration of life in the wild. Your videos offer such a refuge and restorative escape from the world’s craziness, always with an artist’s eye and Wordsworth’s soul: “With an eye made quiet by the power of harmony, and the deep power of joy, we see into the life of things.”
Ahh thank you so much for your kind words, I was so grateful to experience this, I waited a long time for snow and it was so beautiful 🤍 Hope you're having a nice week :) Claire
That was fantastic, Claire. It is still summer here, still very hot and sweaty, but already I am yearning for winter, and snow, and winter camping season. This video was the perfect thing to stoke my anticipation. “Heartbreakingly beautiful” was such a good way to describe your trip … it would be an equally-accurate way to describe your attitude and your spirit, which is why we keep coming back to enjoy these amazing experiences vicariously through you. As always, thanks for sharing. 🙏
You give the word 'wild', a whole new meaning Claire,,, wow... What amazes, me is your mental strength in a -0*C environment... The body's natural built in survival mechanism, makes it difficult for most people to get any deep sleep, in such conditions,,, but you seem to thrive in it... You're a true survivalist... Thank you for sharing another adventure with us....🐻🕊🌹💗...
Oooooh breathtaking. I think this is definitely one of my favorite videos because I love it when it snows and the magesty of the mountains. Thank you for bringing me along Claire. 😊 Love from France 🇫🇷 ❤.
Absolute magic, Claire. You have a beautiful spirit. I so seldom encounter people who can find beauty everywhere they look. You make the world a much more interesting, and much more beautiful place. Thank you.
What an awesome video Claire Beare. They just keep getting better and better. I really love the way you summed up this trip. It reminds me of the way Bob Ross used to talk about letting things flow and appreciating those happy accidents as they show up. Perfect! 👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏻
I totally agree Brad. I used to love watching Bob Ross. Such a calming person to listen to and Claire's videos definitely the same relaxing feel to them.
A beautiful video, beautiful mountains, and a beautiful lady who's wonderful personality makes the viewer's experience as if they are there with her. Sometimes I get concerned about your safety, and climbing up those snow covered boulders worried me, so I was happy when decided return to the valley to seek a safer alternative. Happy New Year and stay safe so you can make more of theses great videos. Thank You.
Aw thank you Howard 🤗 Try not to worry about me, I am quite cautious, although if an accident did happen I always have a personal locator beacon with me so I would be able to call for help - hopefully I'll never need to use it. So glad you enjoyed this, camping in the snow was a lil dream come true for me 🌨🤍 Have a lovely weekend and happy new year to you too! Claire
Yet another lovely video Claire. It takes time to adjust to unpredictability's in life when you are so use to knowing how events will for the most part turn out, Your confidence has grown over the years. Keep testing your limits and as always thank you for sharing your adventures with us all.
One of your best and most beautiful video's Clair .Not just the beautiful winter wonderland scenery but your filming , your use of music to further enhance the lovely countryside surrounding you and your heartfelt and moving words you use to describe and express the enjoyment you derive from your adventures . We share and enjoy them too . God bless .
Thanks so much, so glad you liked it :) I'm still so overwhelmed how beautiful it was, feel very lucky. Thanks for sharing it with me and hope you have a lovely weekend 🌨🤍
You seem to have encapsulated how to be safe in a terrain that can change so quickly. Fear is good ,even the small fall of snow changes what you perceive you are walking on so much. Another fantastic video of the Welsh mountains Claire
Breathtaking video! A seasoned hiker you plan well, and know your limits.Thats a valuable lesson teach,to share. When you winter camp, you really test yourself. When you awaken, you really do know what being alive means. The amazing gift that it is.
Good for her for being smart and knowing when to say no. Too many people hurt or dead - too many rescuers put in jeopardy due to folks trying to push the envelope. True wild things integrate with their conditions!
What a great video. It just shows you don’t have to always go high to have a great camp. The way you talk and explain things is a great credit to you, and your video work shows the mountains in their full glory. Thank you Claire.
What a beautiful video. You could walk for miles upon miles or just sit and absorb the perfect surroundings you had, it's all an adventure in my mind! Spending quality time in such beautiful scenery, being able to reflect upon how wonderful life can really be. What a perfect outro as well, couldn't have said it any better! 😊
Thanks so much Leon, yep you're totally right, just being there was so special. I waited years for snow and it was so worth it 🌨🤍 Hope you have a lovely weekend ~ Claire
What a great adventure! We don't get snow where I live in Australia, and this looks fantastic! It really changes the look of the whole place, doesn't it? Sure beats the mid-30 degrees we have here at the moment! You live in and have access to the most beautiful hiking and camping spots over there. Well done for pushing your limits and getting out there and enjoying the experience (and for taking us along), great stuff Claire! 👍👍
Thanks Dave! It's the first time I've experienced snow in my 5 years of wild camping but it was totally worth the wait 😍 it really does transform the landscape. I love North Wales so much. I bet Australia is incredible :) Have a lovely weekend, best wishes from UK 🤍🌨 Claire
My God this is just stunning, at times I felt as though I was in a pro-made Narnia movie. Your filming and editing quality is incredible. Your channel deserves a million subs and more. I just had to go and make a coffee and cosy up and watch this on full screen. Choice of music in the snowy landscape is just perfects. Subbed! :-)
Before Christmas, when we had a fair bit of snow, I might have kept my daughter off school for a couple of days, and we might have sneaked up to the Isle of Skye from our home in Northumberland. While there, we might have done 2 nights hammock/tarp camping and 2 nights camping in the tents. It felt like we had the entire island to ourselves, and it reminded me a lot of Norway or Canada :) Your trip looked wonderful, and with so many firsts. Medals and promotions all round :)
I am so behind in your recent adventures. Glad you listened to yourself and didn't get too risky. As always your videography was beautiful. Thank you for sharing another adventure.
I'm so happy that you got to experience this snowy and beautiful adventure Claire! Your profound sense of joy radiated throughout the entire video 😊 The snow covered wilderness is truly magical indeed isn't it? :) I completely relate to what you said about the unknown by the way. There's always some trepidation when stepping out of one's comfort zone, yet that's where some of the most amazing and memorable experiences await us! 👍 I hope that you have an absolutely wonderful weekend my friend! 😊 Keep loving life ❤ Stay wild 🐻 And much love 💕 -John
Hey John! Ahh thanks, I loved this so much, I feel very lucky! The snow was worth the wait :) totally transforms everything! Hope you have a lovely weekend too, much love & happy hiking to you too 🌨🤍 Claire
@@WildBeare You're so very welcome Claire! :) The weekend was absolutely great (thanks). I went out for a few days on a snowy wintertime adventure of my own... was amazing! Much love......
Ah, I did this exact hike in September last year (the circular loop) - probably one of the most beautiful areas I've ever walked in North Wales and the views from Aran Fawddwy are gorgeous if you're able to make it back there in safer weather! Definitely worth the slog up! Thank you so much for bringing us along to see it in the snow - it looks absolutely magical :)
I remember going on a walk about in 2006… it was late October in Wyoming and I went to sleep that night and woke up to 18” of snow and it was still coming down… I packed up and made my way 9.2 miles back to my truck at 10,080’ a drove back home.

Thanks so much Barry :) 🌨🤍
Let it snow let it snow let it snow!
I waited years for snow and it was so worth it 🌨🤍 Hope you have a lovely weekend ~ Claire
perfect Saturday night viewing ❤
I watched this tucked up in my nice warm bed.
Subbed! :-)
The scenery is so beautiful ❤.
It felt like we had the entire island to ourselves, and it reminded me a lot of Norway or Canada :)
Your trip looked wonderful, and with so many firsts. Medals and promotions all round :)
You might be a fantastic parent.
Stand by urconvictions Taran, bit wishy washy, Did u r didn't u,? might of, what they do read ur comments on a utube channel? 😁

Perfeito, tudo muito lindo 😍 parabéns
What a wonderland! And you present it so well! Thank you!
I hope that you have an absolutely wonderful weekend my friend! 😊
Keep loving life ❤ Stay wild 🐻 And much love 💕 -John
Her bravery is absolutely Beautiful , not many men would do what she is , a true adventure seeker
Amazing, bet it's a gorgeous loop, so overlooked as well. I do hope to get back there :) Thanks for watching my lil video :) have a great weekend 🤗🌨🤍
sometimes things going wrong are actually things going right. your attitude is truly remarkable and that will carry you through the tough trips.
If you ever decide to stop making content. Please don't remove the work you did. Absolutely superb. Thank You... Andy.
I remember going on a walk about in 2006… it was late October in Wyoming and I went to sleep that night and woke up to 18” of snow and it was still coming down… I packed up and made my way 9.2 miles back to my truck at 10,080’ a drove back home.
Honestly winter camping / hiking isn't something I do very often, so kudos to you :)
Well Done , Solo in the snow is no joke. Good on you setting limits ahead of time. Leaps n bounds you can see the Wonder in your Eyes on this one.
Nature can give us the most incredible events !
Such a positive attitude always and I can tell you just love it by your pretty smile. Love your channel and adventures. Thank you so much. 😊
"A little bit wonky donkey" love it. Thanks for making me smile.
