Whenever I watch Shiba and Koji I feel something deeper than the surface romance and happy moments. There is a spiritual element that touches on culture and promotes sustainability nurtured by love. I know this will sound out there and not many people will understand what I am writing for any number of reasons but I will write anyway. Shintoism is the natural indigenous religion of Japan. It has no scripture and no sutras. There are myths, stories, poems and prayers. When I watch Shiba and Koji's videos from the very first one to the most recent, I feel as if I am watching a new Shinto Myth (a story that imparts a spiritual reality). Shinto is noted by an intimacy with nature, nurture of the human experience, and cultivation of a culture. Shiba and Koji's video series is documenting their very human experience and in the process becoming a new Shinto scripture that will last beyond any of our lives. When you have time, watch all the videos in Chronological order from the very beginning. Notice how nature is woven through each video, watch the interactions between them. Notice the highs and the lows. Lastly, notice the subtle beauty found in the story. You will definitely feel a deeper spiritual movement in your mind and heart...that's Kami. You will clearly understand.
