Good on you for writing an addon for that! Based on that mob count it definitely sounds like they're resetting. The trick is all about the pathing. I'm going to release a video tomorrow that hopefully will help you some with that, but if you have any questions after please let me know!!
Thanks for the tutorial video. I cross referenced your video and developed my own path way and aoe points. This took me 3 days to learn and now Ive made 4000 gold in a short amount of time. Great video, thanks for taking the time to put this together! One thing to add - Greater Nature Protection potions go a long way in regaining your mana - not needed but nice to have :)
Hey Kaz! Yes these would be nice to have! I decide not to use them because for whatever reason I find my only issues ever really coming when random mobs break through the chain haha so then I occasionally need to pop a major healing potion. Definitely a great idea though to help with the sprites damage :)
I've been using the swiftness potion from Zandalar tribe, 20 procent run speed, on the mara Princess run, helps alot. Would you recommend those here or will they ruin the pull? :)
Question! I'm having a problem with 70 percent of the oozes resetting (NOT the slow ones). I went back to find out where I lose them and it's the second jump down before the last room. I go for the R1 blizzard to group them as suggested and I watch them literally vanish 10 yards away from me (on the ledge). Tips?
wish you wouldve included how you got from 6:45 location to 6:54 location. prob should go back and edit that because some people have no idea how you got there starting from the waterfall location.
At 19:35, my mobs aren't doing the double back thing, they are just going straight up the ramp. Anyone know why? I'm standing where he is give or take.
Arlaeus, I get to the end every time and the mobs pretty much are about as stacked as yours, problem is, it feels like 3-4 are ALWAYS running through my Blizzard. I feel like my game is super laggy or something compared to yours. Like when you Blizzard in the video THEY INSTANTLY get slowed, for me it took about 2-3 seconds for the mobs to get slowed, I legit went from 7 second channeling to 3 and the mob almost got to me before he received the blizzard slow. This makes them unclump at the end and ultimately I get whittled down by auto attacks and killed. Has anybody else experienced anything similar to this? The ending is the only thing giving me trouble, stacking them or anything is not an issue whatsoever, but actually killing the mobs is the hard part for me. Any responses would be appreciated, thanks.
It happens to me too (i play with 100ms) you just have to blizzard the front of the pack and that should do it. If you are on top blizzard the leftmost side of the mobs if you jump down to the tree blizzard the rightmost side of the mobs. Let me know if it works for you and you could watch vendical guide it's a bit better.
The huge lag spikes are insane. its server lag like spell batching and its super annoying to get hit by stuff 5 yards away or miss with spells. been there since classic started though so its not changing, but its super annoying.
Are mp5 items better for this then a comparable raw int item? Like using netherwind shoulders over arcanist? And is the netherwind 5 set 5 set really good for this?
Hi Arlaeus, nice guide. i've mastered the pathing and grouping up mobs. I still have some issues with mobs who runs through my blizzard all the way through without beeing slowed. How do you deal with this ? What's your best advice to be sure that no mobs is going through your blizzard without beeing slowed.
I recommend pre-casting blizzard one second before the mobs ge there. Blizzard takes a second or so to actually tick, so if you don't do this some might get through.
Hi, when your standing on the spot to kill the pack and the mobs are going up the ramp, they do not make a little back and forth into the blizzard, they go straight up the ramp. What triggers the pathway bug ?
There is a better safespot than the one you showed in the video. One where you just strafe (no need for jumping ) and the path for the mobs is much longer. its located at the very top of the ledge outside where Lord Vyletongue is. It would be really cool if you check it out and make one of your indepth guides with tips. Located on the right tree at 0:17.
@Arlaeus Hope you can help me. I'm losing borers pretty much every pull for some reason. Any hints on how to keep all of them? Farmlog says i'm only killing about 18-20 per run and there are 6 packs of 5, I believe.
Hey Arlaeus, I have one issue doing this. In the end, I experience that for some wierd reason, a few mobs (satyrs to be specific) decide not to "zig zag" as you mention in the video and get ahead of all the other mobs resulting in splitting the mobs and death. Have you experienced the same? Is the position you stand and blizzard important?
So yes about the positioning, but I also experience this. When this occurs, they should still get hit by 1 tick. After this, before their duration of blizzard debuff remaining gets to 2 seconds, recast a blizzard where they're at the back of it. This will let the other mobs run through, but also will keep the front mob slowed. The front mob is always the priority. Hope this helps!
Thank you man! Ya try to stay far from them if possible, but also have potions ready if necessary or iron grenades. If you need to reset on the kill phase make sure you're prepared to potentially get silenced by them.
I have half the gear this guy have, and i do it without consumes. I sometimes need some bandage, but thats it My nature resist is 15 without magearmor, and 30 with mage armor - its enough for the whole pull -i dont use mana pots ( mana absorbtion is insane) -i dont use grenades only pulling, and with rank 1s, and blizzarding in the end. the key is to stack up the mobs good
Are the frost +hit talents helpful for this? I thought +hit didn't help you when they're lower level? Would the talents be better spent on increasing the speed of frostbolt?
So you don’t use frost bolts much, and when you do it’s rank 1 so you’re plenty fast. There’s some LV 48 mobs. The talent isn’t 100% necessary but I always like to grab it personally.
So i finally have the pull down after many times getting lost and dying. My biggest issue now is that the mobs often get separated while i'm doing the dance back and forth from the ledge. Then when i try to reset, some of the mobs are at lower health and much slower and the entire pull gets messed up. is there a solution if this happens or do i just need to reset?
@@arlaeus9491 Yeah i'm slowly getting better at it. There are still times when a mob gets loose and which makes things awkward. I've also had some situations where I sidestep too far and end up killing all the imps. I assume you want do maybe do a small sidestep and try to keep like 5-6 imps still on the ground being your mana battery? Ideal blizzards end up downing everything in 5 blizzards but I've also had others that take longer where I really would have loved a few imps to give me mana. Thanks for all the great content by the way. It's been really fun and challenging to learn all the various farms you've presented. I've got the ZF farm on lockdown because of you and working my way to perfecting Mara.
First, thanks for doin this video so detailed and helpful! I've been trying it for like 5 times tonight, I managed to do the whole pull but before gettin up again, somewhere between 18:10-18:53 the mobs started to reset for some reason, found myself killin like 12 mobs at the end. Any idieas?
Can you please show us your spell power, your total nature res through gear and how much mana. Also, I multibox, so could I do this with 2 mages and make it easier? Additionally, how does an alt get xp from the start of the instance? Don't they have to be in range? Thank you
Hi Jamie! So the alts are in range from the start of the instance! They just have to enter through purple side. I would say 2 mages could potentially make it easier, but could also be more of a pain to manage. Once you practice it it’s not hard with one mage :). So spell power actually does not play a very big impact on aoe farming. Due to the spell power coefficients, spell power only increases blizzards damage by 33% of the spell power. My nature resistance is at around 50 in the video before mage armor Hope this helps!!
@@arlaeus9491 ahh you're amazing for replying thank you. Im pretty good at farming, but I struggle to keep the mobs from killing me lol is this on live servers? My idea is to get my alts to 60 and farm strat UD, I'm pretty good at healing multi box now lol Thanks again
yeah so this method doesnt work in classic live i dont think!! every mobs no matter if its slowed or not seems to catch up and whacks me so hard its boring me now keep dying
@@Edealist So I've done it in classic live several hundred times :/. I actually have never played on private servers. If it helps I streamed this for a few hours the other day so you can look at those highlights if you want and compare them to your runs?
Hey I've been doing this farm for a bit and have had some very good luck with it so thank you very much for the ever so helpful video(s)! I have only one problem: sometimes at the end when it comes time to max rank blizzard and kill the mobs, some of them go wide and end up running a bit too far up the ramp instead of of running forward and turning around then going up the ramp. They will go wide and then run straight up the ramp with no delay in their pathing. This creates too much room between the mobs and sometimes some get through and I have to spend more time doing the reset loop around the top part to get them back together. Is there any way to prevent the mobs from going wide like that? I would like to get every run to be consistent quick kills and this is the only thing that is preventing me from doing so! Please help. Thanks again for the videos! Great job and I look forward to more in the future.
Unfortunately there’s no way to avoid the batching. What you can do however is follow a certain kind of rule. If it’s 1 mob or maybe 2 just nova when they get to you. If it’s more than that immediately swap your blizzard to them and put them at the very back of your blizzard. Then hopefully the other mobs catch up and are still slowed
@@arlaeus9491 I am happy to report that I have since solved the problem! It was misdiagnosed. It was not even this problem that was causing the issue, it was that sometimes a couple mobs would not go into "limbo" walking back and forth on the ramp. They would instead start making their way down the ramp towards me at the bottom and I would focus my blizzard on them to slow them, but the mobs in "limbo" would stay in limbo and would not catch up, eventually being too close and not all slowed when I had to jump back off of the tree post thing. I instead ignored them until they got almost close enough to hit me and then jumped and continued blizzarding the already slowed mobs and they would catch up to that pack. I now have it down to a science! $$$
Little question, My Blizzard seems to get interrupted often in the end, without my Ice barrier going down or my frost school being silenced. Any ideas what could be causing this?
Seems to only happen when you do the extra round in the end and the sprites are all next to you while you stand on the pillar. Doesnt happen if you manage to kill them without any extra detours
I know this is an old video but how much resistance gear do you need? Like a good amount to resist the magic? I currently only have 50 Nature Resistance.
AS much as you can afford, you will still get hit, so just get a nature absorb potion, and some major healing pots to help out. It's rare to not use any consumables each run
So it definitely is a potential idea! I had never really played around with that spec until my recent BRD video, but I would say definitely! I'm wondering if I should make an update video for all of my guides showing extra tips and tricks that people can use to maximize xp and ease
Heck ya man great call on the respec! I'd recommend icy veins where you can slide the lv bar and get an exact spec, but I'd go into the frost tree with this spec that I have as my mana regen spec and then go from there!! Here's a link to my video on my mana regen spec. ruclips.net/video/XuQ9isqHbuw/видео.html
Im just thinking alot on, that how are you able to remember all this. I really want to do this aswell, but i dont think im gonna be able to remember all of these pulls
Honestly you’d be surprised what you can remember. Most of it comes down to images, and that’s one of the easiest things for the brain to remember. So ultimately it just comes down to practice!
I know 250 champions, including all their 4 spells + passiv and their estimated CD´S and manacosts. While I used to not be able to memorize a poem back in school. If you´ve got interest in something it just comes natural my man.
@@arlaeus9491 no i meant at the part where the first sisters are the borers and the other mobs are too close to me and for some reason I can't get a safe distance from all the mobs anymore. all these little detours like you did at 8:50 until like 9:05 are impossible for me because the borers seem to be way faster than in your video. at 9:40 in the video I typically am fighting for my survival and blink and nova on every cd just to survive. I'm trying the farm some more in the coming days, just couldn't justify slacking with the arcanite farm for my thunder fury for that long it would take me to get this run going. not sure I will be able to ever learn to get all these timings and running paths right lol.
this is amazing. the boosters do these runs for 25g/per person now. thats 100g per run and 400g/hour. with 10h of boosting a day they make 4000G, doing it every day of the month will yield with 120K gold which is 3600€ in cash. amazing. doing only 5hour shifts will result with 1800€ a month. im rerolling a mage FAST
I've been doing this for a few days now, sometimes the pull will have 175 mobs in it, the next pull you will get 155 mobs, and so on, the mob count is ALWAYS different, i've closely watched my mobs and also marked certain packs, SNAKES and OOZE's and they seem to have a chance at resetting the first time you run through the tunnel and nothing I can do can make it so they dont reset. any ideas?
Are any of your people with you hitting the mobs? You have to turn on group kills if that's the case. Check out some of the recent videos I use a roundabout strat that lowers the chance of reset, but unfortunately I haven't found a perfect way for them to not reset!
@arlaeus do you have a video from 54 to 57 ? Where to AOE farm? I saw your ZF farm until 54. Now im stuck cuz i dont wanna quests. You got like 500 videoes :D
Go to Dalson's tear in Western Plaguelands. there's some zombies there that give amazing exp. Be careful of the skellies though, they cast a fear and it will kill you.
Before you start practicing, make sure you understand the dungeon layout so you know where to run! Probably the most important tip. And know how to reach the purp entrance just incase anything goes wrong.
Did i miss it or didnt u show the required skill tree for it ? :-O How many times did you train it before it went smooth ? I mean one mistake can brake all of this. Maybe showing a painted Map path could help to memorize it ? ^^
Hey @Andy M.! So i did not show the required skill tree for this. I put out a video showing my talents before so I didn't want to add a couple of extra minutes in each of the videos. Would you like me to add them though moving forward? I'd love to hear recommendations :) This took me about 6 times to get down and then 20 or so to perfect. Now I do it without dying unless I get some really random RNG.
@@arlaeus9491 When I watch another youtuber do farm runs he shows his talent tree really quick (tops 5 seconds of going through arcane/fire/frost) and says meanwhile that you can just pause the video if you want to check out the talents. That way those who don't want to see it won't have to sit for a while or skip, and those who do wanna see it can just pause the video. Works great from my viewing experience :)
Works sometimes.. but mobs randomly resset, doesn´t even seem consistent. I was finishing up the mobs, standing on the bridge, when about 30% of them just decided to reset. My group would get around 24k exp on a good run, but on some runs it seems a lot of the mobs had reset, and they were getting 13-14k for those
Hey @Kaj Poulsen! So if you’re finding that the mobs are resetting, it’s because you’re getting too far ahead of them. The places where you stop to evocate/bandage, to blizzard, etc., are actually really important for ensuring that they don’t reset.
im new to wow classic and playing a mage, id like to do things like this when i get to endgame but im not quite sure how to effectivly set up my action abrs and hot keys, do you have a rundown on how you set up your hotkeys and macros anywherer? any advice for a new mage in wow classic would be appreciated too :D
Haha there's definitely a lot here! So first off I would say do what feels natural, and immediately go for using as many keybindings as possible. I used to use 47 when I was in classic. Look into downranking macros, that way you can use lower rank abilities when you can. I unbound S as quickly as possible too. Set up shift modifiers and control and alt modifiers. Also, watch some videos on aoe farming because it will be really useful while lving :). Most of all just have fun learning the class!
I was able to took the mobs for a maraudon spin after watching the video. Had to do all the walk second time to cluster the mobs and it was fun running around with dungeon full of mobs at your tail. Thing is though, when you do a second or third walk through with the mobs behind you to cluster them the borers hp get after 5-6 rank1 blizzard and they move even slower. Sometimes it makes a problem

I go for the R1 blizzard to group them as suggested and I watch them literally vanish 10 yards away from me (on the ledge). Tips?
Unfortunately there’s no surefire way to keep them. Try the wide strat in my more recent Mara videos, but even then they’ll reset
wish you wouldve included how you got from 6:45 location to 6:54 location. prob should go back and edit that because some people have no idea how you got there starting from the waterfall location.
this would be very helpful ive done laps trying to find the start point

At 19:35, my mobs aren't doing the double back thing, they are just going straight up the ramp. Anyone know why? I'm standing where he is give or take.
give or take is why, stand exactly where he is
Loving the twitch live streams great work. Killer content man.
Thank you man!!
Nice vid. Just recently found your channel. Keep it up man.
Thank you Bradley Nguyen, I appreciate it!
@arlaeus What "white patch" are you talking about here? I'm learning your maraudon run. It's getting closer and closer to being succesfull.
Do you take your lowbies to the entrance of purple side or do you take them through the portal?
Entrance to purple side. They just hop in and out of there
Arlaeus, I get to the end every time and the mobs pretty much are about as stacked as yours, problem is, it feels like 3-4 are ALWAYS running through my Blizzard.
@@mugetzuu yo casi siempre juego con 140ms que solucion tendria que hacer para esto?
The huge lag spikes are insane. its server lag like spell batching and its super annoying to get hit by stuff 5 yards away or miss with spells. been there since classic started though so its not changing, but its super annoying.
This is actually pretty hard to learn. He makes it look easy. At this point I just can't remember the path to run.
Yes it just takes practice! Try doing it without the mobs a few times and it might help!
Hey guys, what's the addon showing all the details of an item (like what it DEs into) as shown in this video at 4:00 ish?
TSM/Auctioneer
Nice run, and brilliant explanation! Do you think the minor run speed enchant on boots would help out at all with close-call distances?
Thank you @bump! So I errantly forgot to mention it, but the run speed enchant is actually required for this so definitely pick it up!!
Hi, when your standing on the spot to kill the pack and the mobs are going up the ramp, they do not make a little back and forth into the blizzard, they go straight up the ramp. What triggers the pathway bug ?
I believe it's their speed when getting there. If you pre-cast blizzard one second before they get there, that should help!
Very interesting Ned! I'm going to have to check that out!
@Arlaeus Hope you can help me. I'm losing borers pretty much every pull for some reason. Any hints on how to keep all of them? Farmlog says i'm only killing about 18-20 per run and there are 6 packs of 5, I believe.
why most of the runs noxxious slimes resets at 12:19 right after they hit that treeroot???
So that will happen but if you cast the full blizzard that’ll happen less!
Love the video and the dungeons atmosphere! Is there any good expensive epics that can be dropped in Mara?
Thank you! Yup! Edge masters hand guards and others!!
I got a Warden Staff off of a borer (worm) yesterday.
Hope this helps!
wow great video dude
Thank you!!
Im having Issues with the Dino boys doing the Silence attack. Is that something that should happen or messing up somewhere? Great Vid!
Thank you man! Ya try to stay far from them if possible, but also have potions ready if necessary or iron grenades. If you need to reset on the kill phase make sure you're prepared to potentially get silenced by them.
what about using nature absorb potion in conjunction with a bit of NR? it's only 1 liferoot and 1 stranglekelp? cost about 20s on my server atm.
Yup definitely can!! It helps a bunch!
I have half the gear this guy have, and i do it without consumes. I sometimes need some bandage, but thats it
My nature resist is 15 without magearmor, and 30 with mage armor - its enough for the whole pull
-i dont use mana pots ( mana absorbtion is insane)
-i dont use grenades
only pulling, and with rank 1s, and blizzarding in the end. the key is to stack up the mobs good
well i promise u some others (ME) aint got those skillz
@@wildwest1832 Its just about learnning the right route and get them stacked correctly, then its no problem.. it took me a while to learn as well :)
The talent isn’t 100% necessary but I always like to grab it personally.
who else love it when he says "reason being"
hahahaha
So i finally have the pull down after many times getting lost and dying. My biggest issue now is that the mobs often get separated while i'm doing the dance back and forth from the ledge. Then when i try to reset, some of the mobs are at lower health and much slower and the entire pull gets messed up. is there a solution if this happens or do i just need to reset?
Focus on boizzarding the front mobs. Put your blizzard with the center of it at the very front mobs so the back mobs catch up and get more compact
Any idieas?
It sounds like you're getting too far ahead of the mobs potentially. If you outrange some of them they may reset!
My nature resistance is at around 50 in the video before mage armor
Hope this helps!!
@@arlaeus9491 ahh you're amazing for replying thank you. Im pretty good at farming, but I struggle to keep the mobs from killing me lol is this on live servers?

Whats the minimum level to enter mara to buy boost and get efficient xp?
Little question, My Blizzard seems to get interrupted often in the end, without my Ice barrier going down or my frost school being silenced. Any ideas what could be causing this?
Without your ice barrier going down is very odd. If it was mana shield it could be the sprites nature spells but that’s all I could think of.
Seems to only happen when you do the extra round in the end and the sprites are all next to you while you stand on the pillar. Doesnt happen if you manage to kill them without any extra detours
Amazing video!
Thank you Gastank!
is there a link to your full build for this im just starting out and learning how to do this pull and wanna make sure i got the right build
Will your alts get exp if they just stand at the enterence at the purple area or they need to go more deeper?
Ps greeeaaaat vid man ur killing it!!
how much nature resist average i need?, and blizard need lvl max to use?
what is the best way to get back to inner mauardon after dying ? do you have to enter orange/purple leave and make a new portal ?
Correct unfortunately. I would go in the purple side and then just run back over and open another portal.
Do you enter at purple with your alt or at scepter?
OGHSQUAD REPRESENT
Keep it coming man, well done
Thank you Tari!
Would it be worth taking the 2 points into improved dampen magic? I'd assume the nature damage from imps would hardly do any damage with it.
So it definitely is a potential idea! I had never really played around with that spec until my recent BRD video, but I would say definitely! I'm wondering if I should make an update video for all of my guides showing extra tips and tricks that people can use to maximize xp and ease
Great video I learned a lot just watching. I'm a lvl 42 Arcane mage and plan to re-spec to a AOE frost mage. Can you recommend the best spec for that?
Heck ya man great call on the respec! I'd recommend icy veins where you can slide the lv bar and get an exact spec, but I'd go into the frost tree with this spec that I have as my mana regen spec and then go from there!! Here's a link to my video on my mana regen spec.

At what lvl should we do this?
Me after SM boost not giving any more xp to my alt: Aw shit, here we go again
Im just thinking alot on, that how are you able to remember all this. I really want to do this aswell, but i dont think im gonna be able to remember all of these pulls
Honestly you’d be surprised what you can remember. Most of it comes down to images, and that’s one of the easiest things for the brain to remember. So ultimately it just comes down to practice!
I know 250 champions, including all their 4 spells + passiv and their estimated CD´S and manacosts. While I used to not be able to memorize a poem back in school.
If you´ve got interest in something it just comes natural my man.

no matter what i do, the mobs always catch up to me when i reach the part where the range dd sisters come :/ already have movespeed enchant
Just want to confirm, so you get agro of the sisters and they're catching up to you?

@@RolandTschiah hey, im struggling with the same problem:S have you found a solution for it yet?

this is amazing. the boosters do these runs for 25g/per person now. thats 100g per run and 400g/hour. with 10h of boosting a day they make 4000G, doing it every day of the month will yield with 120K gold which is 3600€ in cash. amazing. doing only 5hour shifts will result with 1800€ a month. im rerolling a mage FAST

One problem the mobs that you pulls at the start of maradoun evades somewhere
@Arlaeus are you getting all of the Borers?
I typically get most, but sometimes some reset! Don't be disappointed if they do just try to work on pathing.
@@arlaeus9491 Thanks mate, i tried it once and died at borers ^^
At which level you recommend doing that?
you're doing a great job explaining.
Thank you!!
I love your guides to solo everything.
Could you please show us your Makros too ?
Hi @Sven! Certainly! I don't have many macros, but I will be making a video discussing them in the near future!
What is the point of pulling from the start? 80 % of the mobs until you get up the river resets...
If you leash them properly and keep them grouped nearly all of them stay and don’t reset :)
@arlaeus do you have a video from 54 to 57 ?
I'd love to hear recommendations :)
This took me about 6 times to get down and then 20 or so to perfect.
@elvind that’s a great idea thank you man! I’ll start doing that :)
@Yo Ballert Yup once you get it down it certainly feels much easier than the SM pull!
Bro reply, does this still work can I do this as a level 45?
So like, how am I supposed to remember all that? I live in my hometown for 15 years and I still use GPS in my car to get from ponit A to point B lol
do a run there, clear everything, and just learn the path without mobs :)
What race is best for aoe farming?
I was able to took the mobs for a maraudon spin after watching the video. Had to do all the walk second time to cluster the mobs and it was fun running around with dungeon full of mobs at your tail. Thing is though, when you do a second or third walk through with the mobs behind you to cluster them the borers hp get after 5-6 rank1 blizzard and they move even slower. Sometimes it makes a problem
Yup it can definitely make it more difficult as you have to account for them running slower!
