- Figure Review of my first anime figure by Wings Inc, a 1/7 scale Jean Bart from Azur Lane. She is going for very cheap nowadays, so, what's wrong?

I don't see it on sale here, it's still over at least 19k yen on AmiAmi pre-owned B+ condition.
In the year 2024, figure quality is generally good enough that I'll trade "just average" for "bid discount" any day.
The main issue with this figure is that it has a lot of QC issue.
Your seems to look fine on the video so I suppose you're very lucky since a lot of people copies are not this good (plenty of paint issue and even broken parts)
On another note tho the newest Jean Bart figure from them is very nice and doesn't have any issue from what I know off.
It's not really about the character, any character could sell very well. The thing is, azur lane figures wearing dresses (night dress, casual clothes, bikini etc) they tend to be cheaper in the end (except some characters) even if they were meant to be 1/4 scale. The ones that go up in price and those sold very fast are the ones displaying their original look (not custom skin) shown at the game lobby. Another factor is that most of the best characters sculpted in better quality, such as the ones offered by Alter, those run out faster. But in the end, azur lane figures are produced massively so even if your character runs out from pre-order, worry not, they will come back later at least in minimum quantities as A+ B+ offers x) and not because they did not sell well, as said; because of the massive production. If I came to start collecting these figures; I'd start with Formidable ( Alter) , Le Malin (Mimeyoi ver) and Noshiro (Pony Canyon ver). Good investment for now and future x)
It's because of the QC issues people were hearing.
I personally would have purchased this if I didn't have other figures on higher priority..
It's a nice looking figure and quality looks decent. I think maybe it's just a LOT of brown, and the gunship cannons coming of of the table might look a bit too quirky for a lot of people.

Jean bart has a very attractive design, but that's on her "original character pin up"
This skin pin up is not easy to like because it hide Too much of jean bart "EXCELLENT medium premium body figure"
I think most of official jean bart fan would prefer how she look in her original art, but for some reason, companies choose to make "alternative skins" instead
Maybe they are trying to avoid sculpting the ship rigging?
I don’t dislike the figure but I do regret paying full price when she released.
This is made by “Wings”, that’s different to “Wing”? Or the same company? I just bought a Wing figure, the Bombergirl Grim Aloe Bellydancer, I need to get the other figures of her too.
WINGS Inc. and Wing are different companies. You can check their entries on MFC and Hpoi.
The glasses falls off with the slightest bit of touch and just could not stay on the figure. dropping it would easily lose it or break it and if u don display it, the whole rack next to her is essentially just a space taker.
Adding the lack of detail and shading part to this figure and u get disappointing customers hahaha

I just bought a figure from AmiAmi but it wouldn’t allow me to pay by PayPal, I thought for a minute they were not using them as a payment processor anymore, but I then ordered another figure & it allowed me to pay by them. The figure I’m talking about is the Riri Illustrated by Riko figure, do you know why this is?
Is that R18 figure? You can't buy ecchi stuff with PayPal. That includes jav discs, adult toys, etc.

Wings is a low tier manufacturer in my opinion. I exchanged it twice and both had issues with the ankle. Giant gap between the leg and where the shoes are. Overall low detail. This single figure has made me avoid any future figures from them.
