I have EDS, chronic ankle instability, have had many ankle sprains, have chronic muscle spasms in feet, high arches fall under weight, and chronic pitting edema in feet and ankles. My recent MRI report states, "Diffuse atrophy and fatty replacement of the abductor digiti minimi muscle compatible with Baxter's nerve (first branch of the lateral plantar nerve) impingement" Could this nerve impingement and muscle atrophy be caused by EDS and previous ankle sprains?
