Allah Ta'ala says:and زِلَ عَلَى الْمَلَكَيْنِ بِبَابِلَ هَارُوتَ وَمَارُوتَ وَمَا يُعَلِّمَانِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ حَتَّىٰ يَقُولَا إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ فِتْنَةٌ فَلَاتَكْفُرْ ۖ فَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مِنْهُمَا مَا يُفَرِّقُونَ بِهِ بَيْنَ الْمَرِْ وَزَوْجِهِ وَمَا هُمْ بِضَارِّينَ بِهِ مِنْ اَحَدٍ إِلَّا بِإِذنِ اللَّهِ وَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلَا يَنْفَعُهُمْ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمُوا لَمَنِ اشْتَرَاهُ مَا لهُ فِي الْاخِرَةِ مِنْ خَلَاقٍ وَلَبِيسَ مَاشَرَوْا بِهِ أَنْفُسَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَMeaning: “And what the devils used to recite during Sulaiman's reign, they are following and Sulaiman did not disbelieve but the devils disbelieved. They taught the people magic and that which was revealed to the angels Harut and Marat in the city of Babel, and neither of them taught it to anyone, until they said: We are a test, so do not disbelieve; Anantara so that separation takes place between the husband and his wife, both of themThey used to teach it, and they could not harm anyone by it except by the command of Allah, and they are teaching it so that it will harm them and not benefit them, and surely they know that whoever buys it, for him in the Hereafter there will be none. No part and in exchange for which they sell that selfDid it worse, if only they knew it!"(Surah Baqarah: 102)
