I just read The Giver last night and it is now one of my favorite books EVER. Lois Lowry is such an amazing writer and I'd die to spend the day with her at her house playing with her cat and drinking tea and just talking. I HAVE to get the rest of the books in this quartet like NOW!

All 4 books were incredible. I’ve enjoyed reading them so much and Son ties it all together in the most beautiful way. I read the giver when I was a freshman in high school and I’m 34 now and am so in love with the whole quartet!!

I adored your series, The Giver, Gathering Blue, Messenger and Son. All were so moving, so much so that I had to share with my son, 30 and daughter 23.
In son I was so touched by Claire's depth of connectedness to her son and the lengths she went to reconnect and all that she was willing to sacrifice.
Wow a fabulous conclusion. Yay for Jonas, Kira, Maddy, Gabriel and The Giver!!!! Characters that have become classic in my mind, body and soul!

my teacher read the messenger in elementary. i was so excited and so shocked at the end. in middle school we read the giver and i fell in love with it. now i trying to publish a book:)
