I've definitely seen other explorers do this place, but still like the way you did it. With all the vandals through there I'm surprised there's still unbroken dishes.
When I see places like that, I think about the people who went there and danced the night away, talking and laughing. I imagine it was beautiful back then. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Such a shame it’s become that way. I can still picture how beautiful it once was. I can see it was a grand looking place to stay. Thanks for the tour and that sign with the $15 tip looked like it was in Polish. I can only read some which I think says something about October being wet lol…it was hard to see the letters…hopefully someone will know , thanks for the awesome tour. 👍😊🇨🇦
The voiceover was just fine but thanks Jay for explaining 'cause I did wonder why. Thanks for the tour! 👍🤠 Notes: 0:51 I've a feelin the mattress factory ran outta fabric, the hotel got these at a discount as the guest would never notice. 3:09 I took a screenshot, researched and found this to be a dutchess dough divider. 5:00 I took a screenshot and Google Translate says: "WOW! Mud on the face (mask) from the dead sea. and Facial massage Tip - $15.00"
Cool video! The hand written note in the baths was written in Russian, it reads "Mud mask for the face - price" and "massage including face massage - price" .. how the heck did that get there? Maybe some russian people bought the hotel out in the last few years? I know Catskills still has a lot of russian resorts, who knows. Thanks for sharing!!
I love these type of videos, I was always wanting to do something like this but, you know trespassing and stuff, people can and will get ticked off about things. Well done 👍
It maybe different down by you. But usually if someone asks me what I'm doing I just tell them I'm taking pics and they let me continue or they will say we'll you can't be here and I need to leave. No fines or anything
Another great explore Jay. I kinda like the voiceover in this one. Were the tubs lined in zinc? They looked weird. It’s sad to see a historic property moldering away but there is beauty in the decay. Thanks for capturing the process.
I'm guessing financial difficulties, people just stopped coming here. And it changed ownership multiple times. It's currently listed for sale for 125,000
I just started watching you because of another channel I watch. Glad I did. This pisce is awesome. The plates, cutlery, how is this place still here? Why is it not torn down? I'm in the west and I don't see places like this.
Its for sale for 125K but unfortunately I don't think it will ever be bought. Even though there's lots of land that comes with the property, there's just nothing in this area that people will come here for. Eventually it will fall due to natural decay and bad storms.
Check out the Fine China Warehruclips.net/video/WC7Zky_9q5c/видео.htmlsi=xkzmvYTPHQRmpiBhouse that we explored awhile back -
I also agree with you, thanks Jay for the informative video

Me too!!! I always see the beauty in the building through all the vandalism and decay. And can picture how it was at its peak.
What a beauty! Thanks Jay for taking us on a tour.

Heyy, someone told me it's in German.
I know, I took a screenshot at 5:00.
Google Translate says:
"WOW!
Mud on the face (mask)
from the dead sea. and Facial massage
Tip - $15.00"
Always enjoying the journey along. When is JOURNEY_WITH_JAY merch coming out???
Maybe one day lol, I wouldn't even know where to start with a design logo. But always appreciate your support

Ohhh very interesting, thank you for translating that. I was curious lol
The machine in the kitchen is a dough cutter for dinner rolls
Ohhhh neat, thank you I was hoping someone would let me know. I'm always on the road so I live mostly off of fast food and not in the kitchen lol
I got curious as well. The manufacturer of that, Dutchess, is still making dough dividers today.
@@Norweeg very cool. I’ve worked in different bakeries and never paid any attention to the maker.

Possibly I'm not sure. Im Glad you liked it.
Cool video j thanks for sharing 🤙
Bet the mosquitoes lived that pool
Hahaha definitely, there was frogs living in it too
😮
Cool video dude x but why did it close ? 😊
I'm guessing financial difficulties, people just stopped coming here. And it changed ownership multiple times. It's currently listed for sale for 125,000
@@journeywithjay none of the owners updated it either which is sad x
I like to think there was a group that did a ghost hunt there, not sure.
Probably, it seems ghost hunters will investigate anything abandoned out of curiosity
