I wish, but only in vary rare occasion. Old houses and farmlands would be a dream in that area, but time didn’t permit for us to get permission on any private property.
Charleston, South Carolina, with a Civil War started, I would’ve certainly thought that you would’ve dug up some Civil War memorabilia, bullets ,parts of uniforms who knows. Still I’m sure you had a good time digging with dad, it’s nice having a dad who shares your interest, isn’t it.
In that area, Revolutionary War items are possible as well. My dad hasn’t had any luck getting the permissions he would like to get in SC. When we lived in Virginia in the 80’s & 90’s he had spots that were unbelievable. He’s focused more on golfing since they’ve been in Charleston. I’ve been detecting since the 80’s, and detecting with my dad is one of my favorite things to do. As long as there are targets, I’m happy. After this brief stop in the Charleston area (2 days), I continued north up to Virginia (currently in Virginia). My dad also got my buddy Aaron hooked on detecting when we were kids, and Aaron lives in an incredible area of Northern Virginia. He has some jaw dropping permissions. I detected yesterday and found a bucket list CW find. Stay tuned over the next 2-3 weeks to see my Virginia hunts with Aaron. Thank you for watching!
Never apologize for missing a week. We all have lives outside of detecting and never mind those that don't understand that idea.
Thank you for that!
Great hunt! I love the typewriter piece. That's so cool! 💖💯
