The entire presentation of this fight is amazing. It really makes the fight intense and sends the "Final Boss" message very clear. It helps that she is consistently a challenging fight, even on higher tier stuff- she was among the hardest fights on Impossible and *the* hardest fight for 0% items BEX, but even then, she was always a doable and enjoyable fight. Her fight on Impossible might be my favorite version of the (Base) Irisu fight.
Just beat Irisu last week in hard without heal items as first Rabi-ribi play. I can't believe I left this game in my steam inventory for 5 years or so. Gameplay, systems, music, characters... everything was good. (my favorite is cocoa)
usually each phase does not last this long, e.g, phase 1-2 often occurs after Irisu does that homing stars. It's interesting that how weird it sounds when pitch rises at an unexpected timing.
Why... Why didn’t RUclips notify me of this comment, like, at all? Dammit RUclips you are not reliable. Well, someone has already done an M.R. version, it’s this: ruclips.net/video/gSmSBkLpdYo/видео.html I think it has mostly everything. It’s based on regular Miru though, since I don’t think SP existed at that point. I am not sure about a reversed version though. ...Honestly, I don’t recall there being a reversed version at all? When does it play? I can still make a more complete version but I am not sure what the "reversed" thing is, or if there are any differences between regular and SP Miru with the OST. I believe SP Miru goes even faster than regular by the end.
Hmmm I am not sure if that is reversed? Is it? Well in any case, I should probably double check it. I don’t know what effect it actually is but regardless it obviously sounds different than regular Miru. Does the music even speed up the less HP she has on the SP version? It obviously speed ups once the first loop is done, but before that I am not sure? You also don’t really get enough time to lower her HP a significant amount for this to happen, at least on BEX.... yeah I should really double check and pay attention.
oh I've been planning to make the SP version actually, wanted it to be a celebration of 2 years of that M.R. edit that I did but its too late now (I only beat miru SP for the first time like few months ago), so I thought I'd make it for the 3rd year. But if someone wants it I might do it soon idk, unless Flariz is already on the way making it.
I love RFN too, honestly Triodust's works in this game are great, I love everything they made. especially that FINALE, almost made me cry, can't stop listening to that.
Well, Base Irisu is pretty hard the first few times, as it should be since it’s the final boss of the base game honestly lol. Erina is probably harder than her though, especially once you know the game well, Irisu can be made quite easy, but Erina is always a good challenge. And then there is Irisu SP who is leagues harder than either...
Watching a few videos on the SP Fight against her, the music seems to slow down a lot when you activate Extreme+ (use the Cocoa Bomb where you choose left side right side difficulty)
Hello Flariz! I'm a huge Rabi fan. I wanted to ask you about how I should go for using this progressive theme for an achievement I accomplished in another game (Radiant Any Radiance, Hollow Knight). I'm not quite sure how I'd do the transitions? Did you record these individually and then precisely merge the audio clips? Or did you know the pitch shifts and replicated them yourself with audio editing? Thanks in advance!
Sorry for the late reply... honestly it is less refined than you think... Simply turned off the sound effects and the played the actual fight myself trying my best to give each segment of the music their time to shine ^^ With that said I have done some other transitions with OST before; the trick was ineed to merge the audio clips according to segment and loop. But in this specific case just playing the fight with sound effects turned off worked well I think. Sorry if this was not what you were expecting.
I am afraid it is not. The problem with that one is that, IIRC, it affects each phase differently. As in there is no proper "Instant Death" speed- it straight up slows down whichever version it is playing currently. So instead of the video being divided on 5 parts, it would be on 15 (Since 3 Instant Death variations per 5 phases = 15) and I figured that may clutter the video. And yeah the debuff for this fight is 300 Revenge which triggers Instant Death debuff if Irisu is hit by any single hit that deals over 300 dmg. If I remember this correctly she does this is a very sneaky way on this fight unlike her regular version where it is very obvious.
@@flariz4824 I've used those years ago and they work, but the quality of the finished product is always terrible. If you can't put a link in the description (I find download links tend to have longer lives in the video description), then perhaps I could give it a go, but unless the converters work a lot better than they used to I'd imagine the ending quality would be far too low to enjoy.
I'd definitely say that Irisu is probably my favourite sad-ish boss fight so far, the music is just MMM

Yeah, especially in the case of Irisu SP who has 5 speed ups and some of them happen a little to soon after each other if your DPS is any good.
Even after so many years since finishing this game, I have never encountered a battle theme that makes me so sad and excited at the same time.

My hero thank you for uploading this it's perfect!

Any chance we could get a download link for this? The in-game soundplayer just doesn't do it for me like this does.
You could use a RUclips MP3 converter. I would post the link, but youtube would just delete my comment :/
