- CDT Alexander Maschke recalls his time at the US Army Mountain Warfare School this past summer, located in Jericho, Vermont at Camp Ethan Allen Training Sites.
Ft. Moore's MCOE site claims AMWS as "providing tactical and technical training for mountain warfare and cold weather operations. AMWS courses enable Soldiers to operate successfully using proven techniques derived from lessons learned by units currently engaged in mountain warfare. Graduates of the Basic Military Mountaineer Course (BMMC) earn the SQI-E 'Military Mountaineer.'"
