YESSSS ive been telling the people in my discord how awesome Arcanine is especially if youre seeing pikachu all day - I was just running Vulpix Ninetails as my filler cards, mostly because if you don't get Growlithe sometimes just blasting your opponent for 90 early is good

I was looking forward to playing Moltres decks.. and then I played them and the amount of times I hit nothing is mindblowing. Last night had a game where 11 out of 12 flips were tails.
The only downside is that it takes an extra turn to set up (4 energy) and discards one on attack so you can't set up another Mon while he's attacking. I still like him quite a bit though at times!
guys im new to pokemon TCG, may i know what is the advantage of getting first turn head flip coin? because i cant attach any energy, seems like im always 1 turn behind. felt like getting tail coin flip is always better?
Going secind is better most of the time, but, Going first let's you evolve first (on turn 3). Most decks want to go second so that you're ahead on energy, but certain things like executor ex (1 energy evolution) can benefit from going first! You're also one card ahead of the opponent which can help you find your pieces faster
Ive run Arcanine with both the amber/aerodatyl line and one with 1 copy of Butterfree. Like any stage 2 pokemon Butterfree has some luck tied to getting her out in time to be useful but she negates the downside of Arcanines attack and you don't have to include grass energy since its an ability. Like Aerodactyl in the dozen or so games I've played tue butterfree line (small sample size) i can't say butterfree won or even saved me the game of anything
I love the idea of the butterfree line, but haven't found many decks where I could rely on it due to the stage 2 evolution. I hope we find a deck where butterfree shines soon!
Always thought Arcanine was better! Charizard is far too slow and inconsistent, and more trainer cards is always good; Charizard also needs much stronger Moltres luck to get him to 5 energy on his first attack
Yes! Being online faster even by one turn can be the make or break for a deck like this! Charizard just feels like it takes to much draw/setup a lot of the time.
Why not use centiskorch instead then. he does 130 instead of 120 only requires 1 moire energy. and is not an ex. only downside is he has 130 hp compared to 150. but that should be fine.
1 energy and it discards with each attack so you can't build up another attacker while he is out. He's not awful, but definitely feels noticeably slower
Yes, but how often do you get that much extra energy set up as quickly. To get around the discard downside you'd have to get at least 5 total energy on him or id say at least 3 turns vs only needing 1-2 to set up arcanine
Old amber is either for aerodactyle or to help protect you from Sabrina. You can put in the old amber instead of your undeveloped growlith/arcanine or damaged moltres.
It is slower by requiring 4 energy and discards an energy so you can't build up any alter active pokemon while he is actively attacking. The biggest thing though is that he requires 4 to attack instead of 3. The extra turn can be the difference between the opponent getting their big mewtwo attack off or not. Centiscortch isnt awful, but I don't think it beats arcanine
Glad you won against that monster that is the youtube algorithm, and glad to see you here as well TLSG!
The algorithm has started picking up the videos! With this one doing very well! Thank you for being here!
@@TLSGPokemonI didn’t even knew you had a Pokémon channel, only knew the Snap(that I don’t play anymore).

Interesting deck, I’m curious about the addition of the fossil cards. Don’t see those often

Awesome deck!
Yes! I finished off the emblem event with this!
Isn't Centiskorch better? Secures 1HKOs on every mon of the Pikachu deck without Giovanni, and can even 1HKO Articuno or Moltres with him
New sub here. Enjoyed the video 😁
You make me and my Arcanine pulls happy ❤
Yes! I'm so excited to have an arcanine deck that feels this good
hey, what's the tournament you talking about? great vid and thanks

Arcanine is anti-meta. Which ironically makes it meta.
I was looking forward to playing Moltres decks.. and then I played them and the amount of times I hit nothing is mindblowing. Last night had a game where 11 out of 12 flips were tails.
I get no luck on any flips but my opponents always do 😅
🤝 I fear no man.. but that thing.. it scares me (relying on any kind of coin flip in my deck)
Coin flips can be the most tilting thing about the game lol. Those streaks where they are really bad feel awful
Wouldn’t it be better to play normal Arcanine here??? Does the same damage for same energy and only slightly less HP
I'm loving Centiskorch + Moltres atm. It has plenty of HP and does just enough dmg to smoke most decks (esp Pika Ex)
The only downside is that it takes an extra turn to set up (4 energy) and discards one on attack so you can't set up another Mon while he's attacking. I still like him quite a bit though at times!

Played this list a few games and yea it def slaps compared to charizard/moltres. Gets online way faster. Got a few wins for the event.
I'm glad it did well for you! I actually finished off the event with this list!
This deck is in the missions fire deck already
I only have one Arcanine EX but I think there is an event that involves him soon, so I'll get the second one there.
I'm just missing one Moltres EX and a Giovanni.
@@smokelingers I am missing one Moltres too. You trying to wonder pick for it?
@@horizonseeker8 I don't have enough to get 3 haha. Just pulling Charizard packs when I can and waiting patiently.
Honestly, I got wrecked by an Arcanine Moltres deck the other day , makes me want to build one
It feels great! If you have the cards you should give it a try!
1:09 pretty much summs every top tier deck at the current meta haha
except pickachu doesnt even really need to get lucky
The full art ArK9 is so cute. I think it’s one of the best arts in the game alongside Cubone and Alakazam.
Where did you find the tournament info
It's at play.limitlesstcg.com/tournaments/?game=pocket
wait since when did they start pocket tournaments?!!!!!!
Limitlesstcg.com is the site that has been hosting the ones I've seen/entered!
From the beginning I guess
Great job TLSG
Thank you Gee!
I like to pair moltres with Centiskorch but arcanine is cool too
Centiskortch isn't a bad one, but the extra energy on the attack as well as the discard felt noticeably slower most of the time.
I don’t know if it’s just me but I can never draw arcanine ever, I lose by 15 turns
23:00 surprised they had no Giovani or Sabrina there. Either ends the game more favourably for them gio makes it a tie
Tlsg
Mogwai made this too but with cintascorch instead
This deck actually cooks ngl
They were definitely cooking!

@@AnthemTD 1 energy? i would argue being able to onshot articuone/marowak/moltres and other 140 units makes it worth..
1 energy and it discards with each attack so you can't build up another attacker while he is out. He's not awful, but definitely feels noticeably slower
But your deck is built around Moltres@@TLSGPokemon
Yes, but how often do you get that much extra energy set up as quickly. To get around the discard downside you'd have to get at least 5 total energy on him or id say at least 3 turns vs only needing 1-2 to set up arcanine
Why didnt he uses Blaine instead of Giovanni?
Blaine only works for rapidash, ninetails, or magmar :(
where are these tournaments run?
It's at play.limitlesstcg.com/tournaments/?game=pocket
Cool
what is the Old Amber for? thanks
Old amber is either for aerodactyle or to help protect you from Sabrina. You can put in the old amber instead of your undeveloped growlith/arcanine or damaged moltres.
@@TLSGPokemon late but thanks for the reply!
This clearly loses to mewtwo.
How to get sabrina?
Sabrina is in Charizard packs!
@TLSGPokemon Thank you
How is Centiscorch not better in almost every way?
It is slower by requiring 4 energy and discards an energy so you can't build up any alter active pokemon while he is actively attacking. The biggest thing though is that he requires 4 to attack instead of 3. The extra turn can be the difference between the opponent getting their big mewtwo attack off or not.

Atleast its not insane
Or is it? 😮
