Honestly, I cried, it's horrible what you had to go through, you are a strong woman, your daughter and son must be so inspired by you, you battled your way through some horrible situations, you come out stronger and a fighter, you deserve nothing but happiness, love and support, I really do wish you all the best for your future. Everyday is truly a gift, when my husband died back in December from a brain hemorrhage, it truly makes you appreciate each day you wake up, as painful as is passing is, I will never take for granted each day I can live for us both, you truly are an inspiration julie, I truly mean that, I so glad that you decided to do RUclips like Anna, the world needs more people like you and your family.

I had raised CA125 (level 48) which thankfully was ok. For the past 18 months I have had a significantly swollen stomach and have now been told from recent bloods that my CA125 level is 90! I have an emergency scan this Thursday and I am very stressed and nervous. So inspiring to hear that you survived all this and whatever happens Thursday I’m glad I saw this video beforehand. Xx

I have a scar across my stomach, non-ovarian/non-cancer related, however, I have always been so scared to wear tops like crop tops/belly tops because of my scar. My scar is what has saved me and is the reason I’m here today, I have a condition called Cystic Fibrosis which remotely effects the lungs and the digestive system. When I was just 3hours old a surgeon had to operate on me as I had a huge chunk of my bowel missing and if it wasn’t for her operating on me as a tiny baby and fixing what bits of my bowel I had left, together, I wouldn’t be here 25 years later🤍 I’m so thankful for the NHS and how much they do for us. She had to go back in 3 weeks later as the work she did, sadly came undone but the work she did on me at three weeks old is the reason I’m here. You’ve shown me Julie that I shouldn’t hide my scar away, it’s a story of why I’m here and I should embrace it just like you❤️ keep being you!

Well done for keep fighting through the hard times. Life definitely throws some challenges at us. I’ve got about 5 key hole scars from having cervical cancer and they still sometimes bother me 3.5 years down the line so I’m taking your advice for sure to think that saved my life having them there and it will take time to get past the hiding them part. They said to me they would have to do a cut like a c section which I was dreading to think to have such a big scar but they didn’t in the end which I found out after I would up. Like you said have surgery from stomach area takes a very long time to heal and having to remember especially when your beginning to feel a bit better I can’t lift heavy things for an example. I fully understand the blur part I can’t remember much from having cancer it’s like your brain blocks that part of your life out. Glad your doing well now and I absolutely love your videos take care 💕💕

I had major surgery about 12 years ago as I had a tumour in the centre of my liver which meant a liver resection of 70% and given a 50/50 chance of survival. We are so lucky to have the nhs and the staff in the intensive care are amazing.Ive gone from hating the sight of my scar to embracing it as it is a symbol of how strong you are to get through it. Going through something like that just makes you realise how important it is to share your experience as this will help others. Not everyone understands how much toll this takes on your mental health as well as physical and talking about it is therapy in itself. Getting our stories out there and raising awareness is amazing! Scar treatment is not something women openly discuss and its amazing to see other women helping to break that silence and encourage others! We are based in Manchester and our specialists have managed to help so many beautiful ladies regain their confidence and we adore empowering women, sharing knoweldge, education and advice 😍

Wow..bless you. What a story. I also have a huge scar due to abdominal surgery 3 1/2 years ago. I had some bowel removed, a bladder repair, hysterectomy, hernia repair and appendix removal all due to diverticular disease. I'd had so many infections and bouts of diverticulitis that all these organs were fused together and there were many abscesses inside too.
I agree the nhs are amazing. I was in theatre 8 hours and owe them my life. Recovery took 7 weeks... it was grim. The scar doesn't bother me at all... like you it's the reason i'm here to tell the tale. Loved this video.Take care Julie. X

Well done Julie, very proud of you, my scar is nothing compared to what you have been through. I have a keloid scar on my shoulder, I feel so conscious, living in a hot country I can’t find many tops that help. Well done Julie xx

Definitely be proud of your scar 😊 my cancer scar which I got at age 19 (nearly 11 years ago) and it goes from my right ear to my left collar bone. I had to relearn how to support my own neck again. I do have smaller scars from gallbladder removal and a c-section also. I have pcos too and have had issues with pregnancies. My first baby passed early on in the pregnancy, my daughter Belle was born at 23 weeks and passed at 10 days old. My next little girl Myah is nearly 9 months old and helps me a lot. I’m sure your two children keep you strong. My friend has had all of her reproductive organs removed and she isn’t even 40 yet.
