Flail Axe - Painful or Useful?

Ok, this is just plain stupid - but oh, so much fun! I'm making a flail axe out of old axe heads, a chain, and some wood. Pretty straight forward. Note: it's not a weapon, it's just a fun little project and I wanted to see if I could use a flail axe for chopping some wood, since I saw a guy on tiktok doing just that!

Jeez I would make the wood part longer and the chain shorter. Wouldn't want it to bounce back and open your third eye.

Suggestion, increase the length of the the blade, and make it disc-like or parabolic. Increases the chance of connecting, and remember weight is your friend

bad ass as fuck! suggestion to improve the handle tho, drill a hole through the length of the wood and thread the chain through it. then screw or bolt through the wood and chain to make it stay there. you could also do the same for the first axehead but use something else to affix the chain to the axehead- a clamp or bracket perhaps?
on a sidenote, your friends are boring and lame. more axeflails to the people!
on another sidenote, i'd run if i saw you wielding that monstrosity- not because of the axeflail, but more because of the certainty that you welded it ;D
