      it's really cool because to solve you really don't need any special 4D algorithms! You can just use your normal 3D ones in different ways to solve the puzzle :D

      Depends how you solve it
      Since you can just do it with formula on paper, it probably wouldn't in that case, but if you do it with the software you can kinda develop an intuition for it.
      My solution is just that it's each face has 3 layers instead of one so you can kinda think of it as 3 weirdly overlapping standard 3x3x3 or one standard 3x3x3 with each face having 3 colors instead of one

    This I think actually helped me visually understand 4d space more than anything else I’ve ever seen in my life which is very cool. Still can’t wrap my head around how you only need 8 colors though, even though I know that it has 8 faces I can’t even come close to envisioning how this thing is colored

    The extra x3 is impossible to comprehend. 3x3x3 makes sense, but attempting to figure out where a 4th dimension would fit doesn't really intuitively work in our brains at all. Its obvious that the 4th dimension is just some sci-fi thing, cause it has no bearing in material reality whatsoever.
