it's really cool because to solve you really don't need any special 4D algorithms! You can just use your normal 3D ones in different ways to solve the puzzle :D
Depends how you solve it Since you can just do it with formula on paper, it probably wouldn't in that case, but if you do it with the software you can kinda develop an intuition for it. My solution is just that it's each face has 3 layers instead of one so you can kinda think of it as 3 weirdly overlapping standard 3x3x3 or one standard 3x3x3 with each face having 3 colors instead of one

You should play 4D Golf (it's a game on Steam), that actually helps with 4D intuition a bit.
It's interesting how it appears to have gained a sliding ability in addition to the standard rotation in this way.
