Corned beef pasta bake!! Make an Italian sauce in a pan tomatoes garlic basil oregano onion tomato purée. Boil some twirly pasta. Take a can of corned beef from the fridge cut in to cm square add to the sauce Gently stir in. Add the pasta. Gently stir in. Add all in to an oven dish cover in cheese. Oven for 30-40 mins at 180. Absolutely gorgeous and can last 3-4 days reheated or microwaved. Proper hearty food Enjoy.

Savoury mince with lots of veges. Can have it with mashed potatoes, and also on toast. You can add a can of baked beans to stretch it out more.

My horse had trouble walking. Vet said arthritis. Gave him apple cider vinegar in his feed. Garlic powder to keep flies off him. Worked very well. I have apple cider vinegar with the mother in. Great stuff.

I like a nice cottage pie/shepherd's pie with carrots, onions, peas and sometimes mushrooms. For the mash I use easy to make potato flakes, sometimes fresh potatoes. I eat 3-4 days from one oven dish. Sometimes I substitute the minced meat with tinned meat. Ours is like spam but half pork, half beef. I use gravy or ready made tomato sauce, whichever I fancy.

Nothing better than a drop of corned beef stew, beautiful 😋. Then the following day, i drain and thicken the juice, make some pastry, and make a pie. Can feed 5 of us for 2 days 😊

I'm going to try the frozen berries and get some boxes too. They will be useful too when our fruit is ready. We used to give away more than we used because we never had a freezer. We use oxo cubes just like that so nice and clean and handy.. William my brother crumbles them as my hands are destroyed with arthritis. Best wishes from Vera and William in Northern Ireland

I started buying frozen berrys due to cost of fresh. They are far better tasting and fresher so i did the same with veg. The advantage is i have no waste also as opposed to fresh veg wasted and thrown out.

I was given a small bay tree in a pot & unwisely took pity on it & planted it in the garden border.
It grew like Topsy & I realised it had to go & had to dig a hole practically to Australia to get it out, nearly polished me off with big thick roots that went past the centre of the Earth.

Corned beef hash is a favourite in this house. I use grated carrot, celery and onion. Save some conrned beef to one side and put in at last minute. We have a poached egg on top too. The gravy is second only to liver and onion gravy. You could do a giant Yorkshire pudding to serve it with. It also makes a great "Shepherd's Pie" filling too. Having the same every day doesn't have to mean exactly the same. Once you have a stew it can be a pie filling, a pasta sauce, a curry, a soup etc. with only the addition of a few flavourings or a tin of tomatoes. I did cookery at school back when all us girls did domestic science and it has been such a blessing in my life. Apple cider vinegar with the mother is the one you need for arthritis. Once you have the mother you can venture into making your own vinegar. There a lots of videos on RUclips.

I didn't know that, about OXO, but it matters not a jot, as long as the oxo get's in the pan.... I have always been frugal and able to live off very low means, it may not be fun, but it's do able... In recent years I have been using only olive oil and beef dripping or lard,. A point... We STILL don't know what's in the sausage... and don't get me started on hot dog sausage lol.... I see what you are making is a variation of potato hash, or corned beef hash, which we always made up in the north of England... Still do ... I love Bay leaves and use them a lot, but I didn't know they grew here ! BTW OXO is mostly salt !

Yes, I have that vinegar and in the states it’s called Bragg’s organic Vinegar . I do add a tablespoon to water with a bit of ice and drink it in the morning . It is great for keeping the gut healthy and helps with inflammation and weight loss.
I like your new pots and the backsplash behind the stove is lovely. Your soup sounds good.
As for the price of groceries, you are not alone as the cost of everything is gone up here in the states too. I cook more and then freeze some for a couple more meals, and I also buy non perishables in bulk too.
The blue bells are beautiful. I see this video is before you moved back to Wales.
I do not have a lot of garden and not a full day of sun but I do grow some veg in pots and a bit in some of the ground that is a premium in my garden area which is a courtyard as I live in a condominium. Luckily, I have an end one.
I’m jealous of the bay tree. Love to add bay leaves to many dishes.
    Enjoyed your vlog.

They have that type of can for corn (we call it bully beef) beef here in Canada. I eat it occasionally. My dad hated it because the British military served it a lot apparently during WW2 to the troops. He never ate is after, lol. Our "bully beef" is packaged in Brazil and has a horned bull on the label, thus the nickname bully. I would definitely eat and enjoy your stew. I'm thinking about trying my have at Bully Beef Stew myself. But today it will be potato/egg salad with the works.

HP Sauce is a British brown sauce the main ingredients of which are tomatoes and tamarind extract. It was named after London's Houses of Parliament. After making its first appearance on British dinner tables in the late 19th century, HP Sauce went on to become an icon of British culture.
