Now you tell me. I have way too many Wilson and Penn tattoos 🤣. I’m horrible with tracking the ball that close to the net with pace. My go to move is self preservation. But I will give these tip a go in clinic next Wednesday. Thx bro 👊🏿🎾
Your videos have really helped me so far with my strokes and my foot movement. However i now face a different type of problem. When i play against better players than me i struggle in reading their strokes. I do not know if they will go cross court or down the line. What are the hints i should look for in their racket or body movement? Preferably hints i should look at the warm up before the match. Thanks!
Great video Will, very useful. Taking this further, a different perspective perhaps, when should (in doubles) a player consider crushing a ball at the net person? Many thanks, Dave
Will can u have a short video to show how to return good kick serve, when against strong 4.0+ level player, especially when they kick to my back hand(single hand back hand), their second serve gives more troubles than their first serve. Need some video to show how to take that ball on rises.
When i step back to wait that second serve kick serve to drop i ends up way back from baseline, and hard to have a deep return. but if i try to take it on rise, I'm ends up slice back alot... especially a player can control the kick direction little bit, sometime is kick wide, some times kick to your body...need some help here
excellent teaching points However, I am struggling with FH volleys especially in game of doubles when the ball comes down the line at me standing in middle of the deuce service box (similar to your last FH volley @3:54 Somehow I cannot correct my lack of foot work as I am mostly flat-footed and hitting swinging FH volley that usually ends up to be unforced error.
could you do a video on that once you've found one you like? I also hit with the vcore95 (same generation) and I know eventually I should switch to something a bit less demanding, but so far haven't really found anything that I've felt could replace it@@ironwilltennis

I can add that to the list of something to cover in a video 😁
@@ironwilltennis that would be awesome. Your videos are great tools. At least in my game

when the distance is closed, giving them less time to react to the ball
Excellent tips as usual
Glad you like them!
Excellent as always. Did you switch racquets? Is there a reason for it?
I'm experimenting with a few racquets
@@ironwilltennis . What racket size pattern you suggest for beginners level. Also , good investment for couple years . Thanks coach.
@davdmoi even if your are a beginner, if you are a player and intend to train, then 98-100 head size and 16-19 string pattern
@@ironwilltennis definitely 👍 follow your professional guidance. We will.

Should we be under-spinning the volley for more effectiveness? or is punching it better

I can probably add that in to another video
Do you hit the volley flat or with underspin?
Usually a slight bit of underspin
did you switch from your vcore95?
I'm demoing different racquets but I'm definitely switching from the 95
