Jacek Orzechowski there is not a lot to it. 1. Install 10.5 Leopard 2. Install all updates 3. Install TenFourFox 4. Use the MVPS hosts file as your system's hosts file 5. Done. I have done nothing more than that. No modifications in Leopard (even the glass dock is still there), no about:config-wizardry in TenFourFox. It just works.
As of when I uploaded this, yes, you did have to wait about 20 seconds for the entire video to load but since a few days it is running so good, the video starts and there are no dropped frames whatsoever (on 360p)
Kenta Ishiowa the eMac is a lovely little machine. The 1.42GHz version is nicely upgradeable and it's actually usable for most of today's tasks. One problem with all eMacs though is noise. It has one fan, this fan manages to be loud and high pitched at the same time. I hooked up a Zalman FanMate and have the fan running at under half speed. Also replaced the thermal compound on CPU und GPU. It's so much quieter but still stable. But apart from that there is nothing I don't like about it.
@@Compilation-Nation (Sorry for that year of delay) Yes and no. It needed to buffer the entire video beforehand as buffering already loaded the system so hard that playing was impossible at the same time. After buffering, it plays in about 5fps if I had to guess.
If you add the new addon for tenfourfox and set the video to 140p it'll play. just hopefully well if you can get it to. Plus fan noise isn't really a problem because its noisy where I live, so I don't really care for fan noise and is probably the quietest thing in my house tbh
It crashes almost instantly when trying to go higher than 360p. But achieving 360p is good enough for me. This is a dead CPU architecture on a 15 year old machine, let's just appreciate what it CAN do on the modern internet.
@@Compilation-Nation Sorry, didn't read your comments. Yes, it is smooth and there is hardly any delay (as you are able to see in the video, the text on screen is timed correctly to the music). The only drawback you have to live with is that you won't be able to do better than 360p. There will be no way of watching 60fps. I tried 720p 60fps but it caused the entire browser to crash almost immediately.
WOW Apple actually didnt suck when Steve was alive
Does RUclips still work on it
Good question, I'd need to retest that.
@@Halterung01did you retest it ?
Can't do that on a PC. Not the ones i tried it on because RUclips is kind of bloated.
i think the closest i got was using a laptop from 08 to watch youtube, worked smooth up to 480p
Can you share small tutorial how to do it?

No problem.
i am still useing an emac
I was going to buy one today. If it is lagging can I just let it sit and load to run fine?

Still crashes the browser browser almost immediately
How did you do that ??
Ich habe gehört, dass du auch Röhrenradios sammelst. Könnte man sich eventuell mal austauschen? Bzw. gehst du diesem Hobby immernoch nach?

My iBook G4 can similarly. 1.33 MHz Maxed out Ram
Kenta Ishiowa Nice. I have to try this with my old 1GHz Sawtooth. I don't think it's going to make it.
any mac that is under 1 GHz probably won't work, but to get an eMac to work like that makes me want to get one just for that.

even more reason for me to get an emac
HOW.
wow. 360p... try 720 :)

Oh nevermind I have the 700mhz and you have the 1.42 ghz so I will never be able to do that :(
Yeah, the 1.42GHz makes that possible.
You could try this: ruclips.net/video/6qhsACdyV9c/видео.html
That should work on lesser speced machines.
dp vn03 Ok thanks mate :)
PixCub Cheers!
I have the 1ghz I’m planning on adding 1gb
The more RAM the better they work on the modern internet.
