I was feeling bad that I missed out on the $15 promotion. I don’t feel bad anymore.
I ran into many of these same problems, the worst one definitely being eSIM not being supported, and only being told that after I already paid. Then, they told me I had to pay to ship back the physical SIMs they sent. I went through multiple 1 hour+ calls with support, nothing was fixed.
I might try again with the 50% off deal, but I might end up choosing a different carrier entirely.
I get why they might not want to do esim after my activation nightmare. Still, this should be a given feature.
Happened to me too I got the promotional price only for the first month after the first month the promotion got removed somehow I called customer service they couldn't help me out I was on the phone for a long time this company is a scam they're lying about the promotions.
I called Total, and their customer service said there was no such promotion and even told me I was reading it wrong. This is not the first time, and it takes forever to get nowhere. That immediately, put me off anything to do with Total. I don't think support even really understood me !
Wow I'm happy I went with the visible promo instead. Hope we don't get the same problems
I'm been on Visible for years, but must admit that customer service is almost non-existent. Your only option is web chat with an AI gatekeeper. I have used it to chat with a real human and they did help me, but Visible has intentionally built the cheapest customer service system imaginable in the hopes that customers won't use it. Success.
They shouldn’t. Fortunately I took advantage of a promo about 2 years when they were restructuring their tier plans and was able to get Visible+ for $35 forever instead of the Visible+ promo they got now which is $35 for 2 years. Service has been phenomenal and haven’t experienced no problems ever since I switched to them. You’re in good hands
Visible is directly owned and operated by Verizon as a subsidiary so it should not get the same problems. Total Wireless is a brand of TracFone, which Verizon owns, but it is basically still a legacy TracFone brand run by TracFone.
I switched before any of this and I couldn't even get the Disney Plus promo. Tried leaving and couldn't even get proper help to port my number out. Lost my number that I had for over 10 years!
I honesty have total wireless 5G + fora while now and I’ve never had issues and I pay 30$, on top of free Disney + service I have for the amount of time I keep the line active .
I moved 3 T-Mo lines at a Total Wireless store in August. I did have to call the make sure the promo was applied for the next bill. My 2nd month the promo price was correct. I had a billing issue last month though. My stored Auto-pay credit card got removed so my lines got deactivated. Had to call again to get the lines reactivated. Promo price is still showing correctly 2 months into the promo. I will be checking every month to make sure my account is good with auto-pay and the promo price. I guess I can deal with these hassles since I'm getting 3 lines for only $45 per month.
I signed up for this promotion and as you are stating is exactly what happened to me, so I filed an FCC complaint and Better Business Bureau complaint, my account now shows $30.00 a month for 2 lines, lets see what happens . If my bill goes back to $85.00 I will just change carriers. Thanks for this post. When you call customer service you are either talking to someone in the Philippines or Columbia, you will never talk to anyone in the United States.

Yeah they probably hope that a few people will notice and complain enough and they'll fix the issue for a few complainers. But then some people won't notice or we'll just give up

Mine worked but did have a problem porting 1 of my lines from Mint. Customer service worked hard on it and fixed it within 48 hours. Hope the promotion works for the 5 years like they promised.
I got the deals but didn't run into any issues mostly. I activated via eSIM by activating all lines separately. I was overcharged initially (during the first activation) but subsequently was refunded by Total Wireless. Haven't had any issues since, still $75 renewal price
I signed up last month for the 50% off deal and I still have it active on my account, it shows up that I owe $30 a month.
Are you a real person? My experience was lots of polite customer service talk but NOTHING real except a notice that my service was deactivated and the only option was to "reactivate"???
That's why I use google voice.... If stuff like this happens I just abandon the account and get a new number.. Zero time wasted.
I’ve been with Total for about 3 months on the 50% off single $60 plan. I’ve never had an issue.
Likewise, still paying $30 a month for my 5G+ Unlimited single line.
File a complaint with the FCC.gov and they will handle Total wireless
I've dealt with both Total Wireless and US Mobile. A world of difference. Total wireless seems like a legit scam while US Mobile feels like a breath of fresh air! T-Mobile Business via Messenger is pretty awesome too.
I did that promotion when you talk it in a video !! And is still in my account, 3 lines plus internet home promo for total amount of 15$ x 3 and 35$ internet home costing total brake down 80$ in total 2 SIM cards , Samsung s23 ultra, Samsung s20 5g, 1 E-Sim iPhone 16, and the internet home with promo
I bought a phone through total Wireless but only had one line, I will be pouring out to Mobile X in the morning just because I do not want to go through any hassles and I still may go through hassles trying to Port out
This is why when I saw your previous vid I checked Total's customer service reviews.
Company makes really good deal. Likely not profiting much from it. Then did stupid things that cost them even more. World have been cheaper if they did it right the first time! May not be a scam but a good mark of corporate stupidity. I would not let them off that easy.
If US Mobile ran this promotion, $15 per line, to port out of Total Wireless I would jump at the chance to change. Although I didn't have any trouble getting the promotion, the customer service is absolutely a total waste of time.
Stick to US MOBILE. 24hr customer care and the choice of network switching is a life saver.
This is the reason why I never switched to Total. The internet is covered with post about their credits suddenly disappearing and CS denies they ever offered the promotion.
I went the FCC complaint route and got it fixed that way.
I switched from Verizon to Mint. Never been happier. I was considering Total since it was with Verizon and I am glad I did not go with them.
I have their 50% off with the 30 dollar plan but It impossible for me to put disney on my account. Service is ok, I do feel here in san diego ATT is better

I just checked the total wireless app and my price still says $30 for next renewal. Im keeping autopay off tho, cause I don't trust them enough to keep the pricing correct every month lol
Visible mobile is doing the same thing they first came out saying they would give customers 2 or 3 years with the unlimited plan for 15$ now its 25$ again and the visible plus plan for 35$
I tried total wireless for a month. The second I saw my bill double from the promo I kept my cricket line. No help on my Samsung s24 plus

I bought the promotion through the website but never got the activation code . Got only two sim cards. Then tried to activate it through the website but it was asking for plan code or something. Then talked to the live customer service and they said i have to buy the plan from the store and i have pay first month full then 15$. So the question was i already paid what will happen to those. Answer they don't know. So i took refund and never called them or never went to the store for this deal. Looks like i saved lots of time not taking this deal. And time is money
Spanish customer service is always pretty good kind and call back to see if problem was solved (days later) always fixed my issue
Buying from off brands like Total wireless and Boost mobile is a gamble I don’t have time to mess with, sticking with cricket for now
Sometimes you need to go through the FCC or the BBC to get your phones unlocked from AT&t. It's ridiculous how typical the situation is where that's what you have to do to get anything done.
AT&t is unlocking system seems to be intentionally designed to be confusing and difficult especially for people that bought a device full price just to use as a Wi-Fi only. Or bought it brand new off of third party seller. Because they want you to be 60 days removed from the opening of your AT&t account and people that were using devices as Wi-Fi only don't have an AT&t account
So they're automatically filtered out with rejections when they try to unlock. This was a major issue with things like the surface duo and the LG v60 which a lot of people would buy to use as a music player or an e-reader or a Wi-Fi only tablet
It's not much help to customers, but you can be sure that there are law firms racing to file the first class action. Depending upon how many people signed up, this appears to be Total's fast-track to bankruptcy.

Total Wireless was my worst cell phone experience ever .. several calls to customer service and the only result was my account was deactivated with only option offered was to reactivate???
The app from total wireless is GARBAGE. Always shows wrong. I have 5 lines and ALWAYS DISPLAY WRONG price/lines. However always charge me right $135 for 5 lines all premium and love it. Finally they fix the HD video streaming to 1080 instead 480
I hope the Verizon and AT&T signal strength maps get fixed

their current deal is still really good, especially if you pay for Disney+, their total5g plan includes unlimited priority data and 6 months of disney+ at $25 a month or their 5G+ plan includes unlimited priority data, Disney+ for as long as you have the plan, and unlimited 5 mpbs hotspot.
I would have left and went to us mobile. They have out standing customer service.

I bought the plan for two lines and paid, and when it came to activating them, they told me the promotion had already expired.
I never got informed of a date that I have to activate it

On their website where they were advertising the plan it had the seal end date. It was like September 29th or 28th.

Thats false advertising and false deals they're isn't no 15$ deal its actually 25$ for like 2 years contract and the other promo and deal is bring your phone get unlimited plan for 25$ for 5 years locked in

Going to switch to Total with this new $25 unlimited everything deal. Hope they figured it all out because that’s honestly ridiculously cheap for essentially the same thing as Visible, if not better because of the included roaming and calling.

plus, it’s objectively the best deal in wireless rn & imo, is worth it even w/ having to put up w/ their incompetence.
I’m on the $30 unlimited plan and have NOT had a billing issue.
For what it's worth, I ported from visible to total wireless for their 5g+ plan (the $30 a month plan) and everything ported over just fine and I had service a few minutes after I signed up.
