Rock solid philosophy.
This is the same formula I use to train my troops for war and prepare them for life after service. For those that buy in, their potential is immense, on and off the battlefield.

train'em hard, soldier! combat is mainly boredom. but, when it gets lively, it gets really lively! being trained is the key to them surviving but they also need to be aware in combat sometimes you number is up and no matter how fast you run you wont out run it! not being mean just truthful! train, train and then train some more!

I can't put my finger on one thing about coach venables but damn he's a motivational machine. Everything about him makes you want to give 100% to not disappoint him. Just a fantastic example of a leader. He makes me feel like I can do anything and I've never met the man.

His energy is contagious. Don't think I've ever seen a coach so excited about their job. While he is in many ways the opposite of Barry Switzer, I also see many similarities. The love for his players, the great memory and story telling ability and the confidence just oozes from him. So excited to see him lead the team.

I know BV's still in the honeymoon phase but man he's very entertaining. Great story teller and impersonator. I remember a certain former coach and how uneventful his pressers were. So glad this Venables era is upon us. Man, OU hit the LOTTERY!!

I can’t turn up what I don’t have. There is no volume and I have no control over it. When OU puts a crowd mic out for us, you get to hear the questions. When OU doesn’t put a mic out for us, you don’t. Sorry. I’d recommend headphones and your volume all the way up.

I think he is perfect for the job. But as fans we also need to be there for him and the coaches and players. We can not be booing are own players or team like they did last year and be calling for some one else to play . That is disrespectful to the coaches and team so from now on we need to back them no matter what.
