Waiting on a new spinner to arrive, then doing a video on them.

What are the benefits of EVA decoys vs hard plastic decoys? Do the Flex Float Lifetimes hold paint well? I am planning to replacing all of my Mallard and GW decoys next season and I am looking into the Lifetime Flex Float, Dakota Packable, or Dakota X-stream Flocked.

EVA typically holds paint a bit better. They also typically don't crack/shatter when super cold either. We haven't heard anything bad about the Lifetime losing paint.

You need to do one on early-season hen packs since most of the birds have no color yet

      Yup.
I use hens from my puddler rig just for that reason. Mallard, Pintail or Widgeon/Gadwall hens will work. Not too much color on those early migrant birds, anyway.
Oh btw, it's probably bluewings that come down first, not GWT.
But hey, it's not so much the fish (or duck) that bites the lure, but it's the fisherman (or duck hunter) that bites the lure.
