A great reaction, Shawn! I have always interpreted the lyric "And Michael you would fall and turn the white snow red as strawberries in the Summertime" two ways: The first time I heard the song, I assumed it was simply painting an image of innocence with words and the striking visual of Michael taking a fall and suffering an injury causing him to bleed; his crimson blood painting the white snow being a powerful image. After considering the song and deeper meanings for a while, I have considered that it would be quite rare to suffer such an injury on a blanket of snow, so there must be a more significant meaning, which we may never know, but perhaps this story tells the tale of maturing beyond youthful idealism and the loss of innocence. When the world stops for snow, providing a wintertime adventure for children, in time it becomes a series of dangers as seen by an adult. I am glad that you liked this song, Shawn.
How have you never heard Fleet Foxes??? Dude, you're missing out. They have so many amazing songs: Helplessness Blues, Blue Ridge Mountains, Mykonos, Ragged Wood, He Doesn't Know Why, Lorelai, The Shrine, ...
I'd only heard this by Pentatonix, and I do like this one better. I think the lyrics are creepy, and Pentatonix's version makes the lyrics sound psycho! This version puts more focus on the instruments in the song, and that sounds much better

Ditto the "Mykonos" comment.

Mykonos
Hi handsome ♥️ how are you today
I'm great thanks. You?
It is a great song, I do prefer Pentatonix’s cover better (maybe because that’s the first version I heard) however Mykonos is a great song
