What kind of accuracy are you achieving without using GCP's to process? I was a little disappointed with the results I got using Network RTK. We have a very good network in Florida where I work and I shot some points with my Leica GPS and checked about a half a foot out. I watched the screen the entire flight and always had a Fix solution. I don't know what I was expecting but I though maybe 2 to 3 tenths not the 5-6 I ended up getting (Horizontal distance that is).

We have found that we can achieve a couple of centimetres (~0.7") when using a local base station. Was the network a VRS or Point to Point?

@benchmarkequipment VRS, and we get about +/- 0.5 depending on the location. I'm not sure what I expected, but it does seem to improve processing time in Pix4D. The flight speed slows way down, though, so I mostly turn it off and set a bunch of GCP'S.

@@usmcmma Do you know what the baseline is between the VRS and drone? That could explain the extra error. You would likely see some better accuracy if you were to use a local base station.

@@benchmarkequipment we have a few Leica Viva's. I'll see if I can configure one as a base station.

Worth a shot, especially if they are full constellation receivers.

Love the drone content , especially because everyone else is just flying DJI and we need alternative videos like this!

Hi William, glad to hear that you like it, hope to have some more videos with the Autel soon. We are also going to be bringing in some DJIs, so we may get some head to head videos.
