- Dandy's groundbreaking Trojan hit from 1969. 'Reggae In Your Jeggae' became one of the earliest reggae tracks to cross over into British mainstream pop culture, with the record becoming a firm favourite on the UK's skinhead scene, its success prompting its inclusion on the essential album, 'Tighten Up Volume 2'.
Dandy (real name Robert Thompson), who had previously enjoyed significant success with his original rude boy anthem, 'Rudy, A message To You', proved a key member of Trojan's set up during its most successful period, producing a multitude of popular singles and long-players, later scoring 3 major UK chart hits. 'Suzanne Beware Of The Devil', 'Big City' and 'Think About That'.

Put your hands up, who would like? to go back to the time when this record came out?
Part of the Reggae Chartbusters selection, remember we all went crazy to buy this when we was all little wee 15 year old skinheads,
My favourite in the album...
Great track - had forgotten all about this but remember dancing to it when I was 13 but 18 to get into the clubs
memories ov my skinhead days a long time ago
Rudeboy: The story of Trojan Records, brought me here. I'm glad I was introduced to this song. My first time actually. Thank you, Trojan Records.
This is wunderfull
The first reggae album I ever saw....then I bought No 1, 3 & 4. Paul Gardiner from t Tottenham Crew introduced me to it and Ska, along with other lads from various areas in working class London who were staying temporarily at a boarding school called Stinsford School in Dorchester, Dorset. I met my first black and Chinese friends from that school too. They were FAB! Very enjoyable and great learning experience for me - we were ordinary fashion skinheads, but cutting edge finger on the pulse skins, in those days - none in sleepy Dorset - it was 1969 and 1970. I remember being laughed at in 1971 / 2 at the youth club - my sister was also a full blown skin girl. I lived in Tottenham for 10 years in later years, but sadly never met my old pal Paul, but did meet a friend in Island Records in Seven Sisters who was still there from the 70s, but a Rasta in the 90s.He said he remembered me - they thought I was Italian or Spanish, even though I came from the West Country!
Great bit of history, ta

So good ✌️🙏✌️
I understand Tarkus, I mentioned and started to sing the song at my girlfriend's house in Islington - I was from Tottenham - Her mum and dad were black Jamaicans - I was a white ex-skinhead. I got a "guest slap" from Mrs R (Kingston)... and heard a laugh from the father (St Elizabeth). I loved that family - still do, but I moved North, then Oz and back North again.

It’s "action," not "option."
Class
There's me watching the big people dance at my Godmother's blues dance in Wembley. The other workers from Stonebridge Park, plus my parents, are doing the new dance, and little boys should be sleeping.
Could be the best reggae riddim ever?
Maybe. Dandy used it on two other cuts before this (Downtown was his own imprint).
I remember when the poor understood it was the elite that was holding us all down.We were strong together without division
