I can't believe I've never made a Sam video! I made like four Dean solo videos and not even one with Sam. I think I did make one with Cas but it was like ages ago, so that doesn't really count... what's wrong with me?!
Needed to fix that asap, so here I am, with a Sam Winchester video, with one of the most heartbreaking songs I've ever heard.
I've been watching the show for almost four years now, and Sam was never really my fave, not until now. I decided to rewatch Supernatural a few weeks ago, and I was absolutely mindblown by his character. Honestly, I think that a big reason for me being a 'Dean girl' in the past was because my best friend, who brought me into the fandom, was strictly a Dean fan, so I was like, hey, I gotta love him the most too, right?
Today, I'd say I love all three boys equally (yes, Cas included).
All of them have been through so much sh*t, I just wish they could finally be happy! C'mon @ SPN writers, give Sam a girl and don't make her die for once, would you? Amelia was pretty cool in my opinion! Tbh they should just bring Gen, Danneel and Victoria to the show and make them kick ass and marry the three boys (I don't give a damn that Gen played Ruby, gimme Jared's wife as a new badass female character who dOESN'T DIE FOR ONCE PLEASE AND THANK YOU). Speaking about badass female characters - Rowena? I love the f*ck out of her.

still dont understand why people loves Dean more then Sam

Because he is still alive because of Dean who has been a mother, a father, the big brother, the best friend, who sacrificed his own life as teenager who could have a normal life (he had the chance when he was young, and even when he was part of a real family with Lisa and Ben) but he chooses Sam, always, every time, he wants to keep him safe, to know his brother is okay. We love him for his heart, for his broken soul and all the inner scars that he is usually hiding because it is always painful to talk about emotions while it's a lot easier to say "I'm good, fine!" . And then we love him for his loyalty towards friends, for his want to always safe as many people as he can, and because he is a beautiful green eyed and freckled angel with some guns and a sharp knife and full of a love that is consuming him but he never gives it up because it is ho he Stays Alive. 💋❤️
i think its cuz he sympathizes with the bad guys way too much and ends up in a position of where hes a bad guy. it kinda makes him seem.. excuse my language.. but it makes him seem like a little bitch even though hes an amazing hero and all that

Надока I love them both but I’ll explain why I like dean more. Dean had to be both a mother and father to Sam, his early childhood was really, really hard. He always had to take care of Sam, and live up to his fathers expectations which he never could do. His father made him a weapon, and Sam his son. He never was even in an actual relationship until Lisa, who he left because he wasn’t selfish enough to stay with her. He constantly sacrifices himself for everyone and everything, knowing all the while he is completely worthless, and when good things do happen to him, he doesn’t understand why. He went to hell for 40 years and came back pushing everything down, and only breaking down once. Personally, I can relate to him because he’s hiding his feelings constantly, and no one ever truly knows just how bad he is. He’s suicidal, but would never want to be considered “weak” and end it himself, so he goes on suicide missions. He doesn’t think he matters or anyone, but he’s sosooo wrong, and resorts do alchohal and girls to numb his pain. He’s just a really relatable imperfect person. And also 1000000000000000000/10 on the attractiveness scale 😂
I cried. Sam is such a good person but I hate it when he thinks himself a monster when he messes up :(

Sam Winchester. the boy with the demon blood. I honestly can't say how much I love this. I love Sam and how he is always ready to give himself up. He's the selfsacrificing, loveable, idiot that just wants to live a life. But, instead he was too busy saving others.There's something dark you could See in Sam's eyes from the start, but it never stopped him from doing his absolute best to do good.
His worst sin in his eyes was letting his big brother down. The big brother that he wanted so desperately the approval of. But, he never felt like he deserved it. Even when Dean told him he was worthy of love and good enough, Sam couldn't believe it true, because he didn't see himself worthy.
He thinks it's his fault that everyone he loves dies. That it's always his fault. He Hates himself. He hates everything about himself because he's not what he wanted to be, and he fails everybody, and he fails Dean. He hates himself because he just want the people around him to be safe. To actually be alive and he can't have that because he can't save them.
"I'm a whole new level of freak."
He knows he's a freak and that he's never going to be normal. Something that he so desperately wanted. He knows he's spoiled and tainted and that he is unworthy. That he is beyond any normal means of a human failure.
I know how he feels. Pretty much every person I love either leaves me, stabs me in the back, or drop dead around me. Time after time, funeral after funeral. When it happens so frequently You start to believe that it's all because of you. That because they knew you they got cursed. It's a horrible feeling. To want to love and have people love you, but are too afraid you're gonna be hurt by them, or have them leave you, or have them Die. It's beyond sick...
Sam just wants love. He just wants people to know he's good enough. But, even he knows that he's not. "You finish this trial. You're dead."
"So?"...
And the scenes where Dean tells him that he's a monster and that he is nothing to him, the look in Sam's eyes. The pain that those words coming from his brother brings crushes him. It rips him apart like a wild animal, savagely shredding him. Hearing those words is worst than dying. Because a small part of him, knows it's true. Or believes it. How could he be worthy? How could he think himself worthy of love and acceptance from his brother?
It drove him mad because he couldn't accept Dean's love. He didn't feel like he meant it or that he truly deserved it. So when Dean told him that he didn't care about him, it shattered Sam. "Don't say that to me."
Those were the words that he feared the most coming from anyone. And they fell spitefully from his dear brother's lips. He knew it. But, he didn't want to believe it.
All of it was wrong tho. Despite him never being able to believe or accept it. He was worthy of love. He was good enough. And most of all... His brother loved him more than anything in the world.

@@swaggy2760 this moment hurt me so bad because when Kevin died, Sam never blamed Dean, in fact he blamed himself. Sam was feeling so bad for Charlie's death, even more than Dean because he felt guilty, and the only thing he needed was a tiny bit or reassuring from the person whom he had been trying to save and the only thing he got, like many other itmes, was his brother just piling all the bad stuff he had done. Dean's surprised face when Sam said "my greatest sin is how many times I've let you down" and all that continued after that was just hilarious because of course Sam felt like that if the only thing his brother did for years was pointing out his faults.

Sam was never a monster, or evil. What he is IS incredibly hard on himself...and others are, too, which pisses me off. (lol) Sam has an inner strength that Dean doesn't have. He goes through the pain instead of burying it the way Dean does. I mean, think of what he's been through. Dean was in hell for 40 years, but Sam was there with Lucifer himself for about 120 years. And Sam may have accidentally opened the last seal, but that wouldn't have ever happened if Dean hadn't broken the first one. I got sick of everything bad that ever happened being blamed on Sam, and that was the writers' fault. I know that in the long run, when people watch the show, they'll realize that Sam was the savior - he's able to go through, and do, stuff that Dean could never handle. Sam is amazing.
Sam Winchester. My favorite winchester. I relate to sam in so many ways. Everyone always seems to tell me I screw up everything I do and even though I try so hard to do the right thing I feel like it will never be good enough you know? Yet I know I'm not the only one who feels this way and I think this is why so many people connect to sam. It's because they've been in similar positions in a way. They are seen as a freak, and people push them away. And to add to it. Jared starting the Always Keep Fighting campaign. He has saved so many lives and he many know that but there are so many more lives he has touched and possibly saved that it's just crazy to think about. But as a family we all stick together. The SPN fandom is more of a family then my own.. thank you spn family so much. Also to the editor of this video. Beautiful work! So emotional and touching.

A lot of people say dean is a relatable character (which he is) but sam is also a relatable character. For me both brothers are relatable.
No offence to Dean, but Sam was always the superior brother. Sam is by far the most complex and compelling character of this entire show, and one of the most fascinating fictional characters I know of. It is in fact this complexity that lay at the core of why there are those that overlook him, as to fully apprehend Sam, one must have a more critical mind, and be an overall critical thinker. Why? Because Sam himself was a critical mind, and it was this element within him that led Sam to feel like a pariah within his own family, as well as with those around him.
Additionally, it was Sam's critical mind that made him the most righteous of all, as Sam understood more so than anyone that morality is a grey area, he understood that following the literal guidelines of what appears to be right or wrong without contextualizing it, does not always bring about a just outcome. Even within jurisprudence, it is often debated as to what approach laws should be applied and imposed. On how many instances have we seen unjust outcomes in criminal cases simply because the law was interpreted literally, without contextualizing the case before them? Context is everything and Sam was the only one who understood this from an early age. Sam saw how their father John was flawed, he saw that the way he raised his sons was neglectful, he was intelligent enough to understand that the way John treated his sons was wrong, where as Dean simply accepted the wrongs because it was what he had to do. How many times did Sam save Supernatural beings who didn't deserve to die? Sam believed that it was our actions that mattered, that we have a choice, that we decide how to behave and as such, one must be judged on his or her actions, not on who or what they are - free will. Consequently, it is Sam's defiance and passion for free will that made him the most righteous, the most fair and most compassionate, and it was this defiance and passion for free will that ultimately led him to beating Lucifer himself, in combination of course with his love and bond for his brother. Sam was able to say NO to Lucifer and so Sam was God's greatest vindication, that humanity and all it encompasses, that being love and free will, was the greatest power of all. Remember at the end of Season 5, when Dean called Chuck who we know was God, to ask him how the battle would end, Chuck replied that he didn't know, because he truthfully did not, as humans are defined by their free will, and who better to defy all odds than Sam, the boy who always challenged his destiny, whether that be the life his father imposed on him, or the prophecy of the Devil himself. Sam was the only one who had the strength to say NO, and the bravery to create his own path - whether that be to leave and go to Law school and attempt to have a normal life, or to defy Lucifer and sacrifice himself by throwing himself in the deepest cage of hell with the Devil himself, being tortured by the devil for 1000 years. The trials and tribulations Sam went through are excruciating, yet he never lost his kindness.
Dean was simply not a compelling character in the same way, and those who prefer Dean, do so because they lacking the critical thinking to understand the complexity that is Sam.

Okay I just wanted to say that Sam is probably the best person in the show, he's even more good than Castiel , he's always ready to give him own life for anything ore anyone, he's always for everyone and he deals with a lot but doesn't give up for his brother and for his friends and it's makes me so sad to know he thinks at himself like a monster and a failure. I'm a fan of both Sam and Dean, but have to admit that Dean is my favorite. But I have always worried about Sammy and how much he puts Dean before himself, and how much he really wants to do the right thing. He's always wanting Dean to talk out his problems, but he doesn't often do that himself. Just keeps it in as he worries about everyone else. He really has gone through so much. They both have, so they are equally in need. Anyway - what I wanted to really say is that this video does an awesome job of bringing it all to light. Sammy needs just as much attention as Dean.
That was stunning. Even though I love all my boys and Rowena Sam is my boy. I love him because he's flawed and he knows it. He's done some bad things but he has paid for all of them. He has such low self esteem and it's heartbreaking. People tend to forget all the fantastic and heroic things he's done. Jared is just brilliant. He plays Sam as strong yet vulnerable but never weak. That's something most actors can't pull off but he does it flawlessly. Both Sam and Jared are easily the most underrated on the show. That is so unfair. I would love to see Sam finally achieve the happiness he deserves. Maybe with Eileen?? But this is Supernatural and we all know that will never happen. Thank you for making this. It's perfect.

Maybe it’s because I’m biased but the pain that Sam carries so heart wrenching. I just started watching season 5 of supernatural and God, I’ve wasted so many tissues because of how much I’ve cried. Dean is a relatable character to many so I can see why he’s a favourite but Sam deserves the world just as much as Dean does. My poor babies :( He looks upto Dean so much.

Im not 100% sure but when charlie died and when they were burning her dean said "you dont get to apologise you got her killed" and then he said "it should be you up there isntead of her" i mean that was so rude from dean . I dont think it was sam's fault that charlie died
It wasn't his fault but you also have to understand that Dean was just grieving . The two of them always seem to say things that they don't mean when they are irritated , angry and even grieving but they always make it up . . 🥺❤️ .

I'm literally just sitting here all teary eyed because I didn't know that Sam had these thoughts and never told anyone about them. I'm so sad after watching this because I feel as if this video is the moments that sam was at his weakest, but some moments and flashbacks (even the ones about Season 1) were cool in ways. I feel that the music fits him. GOOD JOB! =)
I think this song fits well for him. He's the most suffering one. Even if it seems like he's more egoistic, he is not. When Dean was about to leave, he did for himself. Always. He had this God complex about himself and this idea that he had to be worthy. Sam was different. Everything he did, he did for others and for Dean especially. When he was about to die he didn't think about himself but Dean and how to end everything. Their point was different. Dean is the most fragile one, the most desperate and incapable of think about himself like a whole person - that's because of his dad and the way he was forced to grow up. Sam is not. Since the first episode we can understand that Sam wanted to be different not because he hated his family but because deep within he knew there was nothing worth living like an hunter. They lost everything to stay together. Their relationship was just insane. Dean didn't really loved sam until the end. Because he wasn't free. He just did what he thought it was best to feel better about himself. That's not true love. He wasn't really capable of loving freely because of his trauma. Sam knew it. He tried to really save him. Till the end. And what pissed me most was when Dean returned from purgatory and got mad with sam for not searching for him. Sam didn't know where he was. He just thought he couldn't do anything anymore and for his suffering he just tried to move on like life imposed him to do. That's a whole different perspective. He saw things differently. He did nothing because he felt powerless. But when he ended in hell what do Dean did for him? Nothing. So, I mean, Dean was a little bit abusive about him. Like the one who can get upset, the one who is right to be angry, but not the others. I don't know, i just think there are some things that were not esplorated well. Some people say that sam gets too much credit but truth is, he deserves it. Because he is the really healthy one who is forced to became fragile and powerless. He was convinced that he was a monster, he never really had an opportunity to express himself, not to his father, not to Dean. Life has been tragic for both of them and what makes me sad is the fact that their story end like ... unfinished, vague...
It seems like the series is about Dean and the tragedy around him than the actual plot. Like it had to be a reflection of his unhealthy view of life and God. Since the begging Sam appears like the one who can't love, or the one who believes in a God that doesn't exist or does not love. I don't know if I made it clear but i think there are some big mistakes about this series that are wanted. Chosed.
