It's not a Boulder... it's a rock!
Quick reminder that Primarina has Liquid Voice and that makes sound moves Water type so both Psychic Noise and Alluring Voice can be used as Water type moves. That also makes Hyper Voice Water type. So when trying to account for sound moves that might hit past a Substitute these moves could still hit and catch you off guard. Even with your high Special Defense you can't take to many hits from these moves.
Mighty cleave is what Urshifu shoulve had, a move that ignores protect, not the ability that makes EVERYTHING safe por protects
Unseen First only lets contact moves bypass Protect so a move like Rock Slide will fail and not work. So it's not everything but all the moves you normally run are contact.
Boulder is Urshifu but balanced. The ability to hit through protect, but only on one move, and not through screens, sash, intimidates, or defense boosts.

Damn, mighty cleave is such a strong move, thank god there isn’t a whole legendary pokemon whose gimmick is hitting through protect.
I really like Iron Crown and Boulder. Leaves just feels like it lost out the most in comparison.
Fr, the paradox swords seem overall considerably worse than the beast/dragon/dinosaurs, but at least Boulder and crown are solid enough to have definite use cases. Leaves has a bad typing and better alternatives: if you want a physical grass type use rillaboom, Metagross for a physical psychic type.
Or just put psyshock on your flutter mane
It's so dumb that Iron Leaves got a signature Psychic move when an upgraded RAZOR LEAF was right there as a concept.
@@EinSilverRose More like a tweaked Leaf Blade. But it also doesn’t help that, when compared to Walking Wake, Hydro Steam gets a 50% boost in Sun and Rain, while Psyblade only gets 50% in Electric Terrain with 30% in Psychic Terrain.

I do agree with the options and support you mentioned for Boulder to work. Funnily enough, this is the one mon that I tried with Smeargle. Having both Fake Out and Redirection almost ensures a Swords Dance set up for it. And just pray it snowballs there with 2 or more KOs.
Ik mighty cleave is really dumb, but a rock type this fast without Rock Slide is so sad, it'd be a decent partner with like torn pao as a fast rock slide flinch mon in tailwind.
Ok so I know this is bad, but here’s my crazy mode. We still mainly invest in speed so it will speed boost then the rest between Attack/ HP. Our item is the weakness policy and we pair it with a (self) sucker punching pincurchin. I typically ran ghost Tera because it stops fake out, but still works with weakness policy sucker punch from pincurchin.

One thing I like about Indigo Disk is that some of the new moves are “existing move but for [type]”, you mentioned rock type’s lack of 100 accuracy physical moves, this “type swapped move” idea can provide that, rock type Close Combat or rock type Leaf Blade
Also because Electric has a lack of strong physical attacks then it could also benefit from this “type swapped move” so that they get 100+ power move who’s drawback isn’t recoil when the move fails to connect (or attack debuff if they are given “electric type Superpower”)
Besides “Rock physical needs better accuracy” and “Electric physical needs stronger attacks”, I am unsure what other types have major glaring issues in their existing move library
Single target special water move with good distribution and accuracy: hyrdropump misses, used to be scald but they limited the distribution (good thing imo), water pledge and sparkling aria are very limited.
Poltergeist fixed the no good physical ghost move issue
Strong, accurate special flying move is probably the main one besides the two you mentioned that is a real issue.
Outrage is unreliable and thanks to power creep Dragon Claw and Dragon Pulse fall a bit short for moves who rarely hit anything for super effective damage.
Draco Meteor is still really good but not everything wants to run a move with such a harsh drawback.
Special flying type attacks needs to be more acurate, having to relay on 70% acurate hurrucanes, on weak Air Slash that are not even 100% acurate, but 95% or have to set Up the terrain in order for hurricane to be 100% acurate is not cool

I still think that if something is gonna consider using stellar tera then you have to also work tera blast in there
Obviously lowering your attack stats can be not so good, but tera blast has the versatility to justify it alongside fine power. If it's something that hates getting tera'd against, then stellar tera blast is just what you need.
I kinda hope these 4 extra paradox pokemon will have their own terra events. We’ve seen other normal paradox be events and wake/leaves were also events so hopefully these 4 will get events so people can get the other game versions

Iron boulder sound great, but i feel like urshifu out edges it with all of its attacking move hitting thru protect instead of a single move
the swords of justice have the mitical kledeo and in s/v they are handeld the same as the legendary beast's so i predict that the legendary beast are getting a new mitical member in the near future. maybe even a paradox for keldeo and the new legendary beast.

Hey Moxie, when you ev your pokemon defensively, what kind of attacks do you try to ev for? Do you ev to live specific hits or do you try to minimize your chances to get ohko'd by most meta attacks? I'm still new to putting evs that aren't "252 atk, 252 speed" on a pokemon and calling it a day and I'd like to get better because the specific ev values make getting into the competitive aspect of pokemon difficult for me, I've been keeping up with comp pokemon for a few gens now and this gen was when I finally decided to give it a try for real instead of just breeding for good ivs on my shiny pokemon, hoping to get into it one day.
I dont know about him but i ev for either a surging strikes from urshifu, a choice specs moonblast or shadow ball from tera fairy or ghost fluttermane, and the how much of a chunk i can take out of a dondozo or iron hands and thats where i start but generally you just look at the meta mons who hit the hardest and see if it can live the hit or if it needs assistance like assault vest or light screen/ reflect/ aurora veil

Boulder pretty much always offensively teras. It just depends on what you want to hit harder or if you want a weird Tera Blast for surprise coverage.

One thing to nerf Mighty Cleave is to remove the "bypass protect" part. The move Feint is 30 base power and basically does the same thing.

Not going to lie. Getting pretty tired of Gamefreak just adding faster and harder hitting mons each gen.
I feel like a huge part of why power creep feels so rediculous this gen is booster energy. Some pokemon are able to hit rediculous speeds with it for no real downside, further amplifying their already crazy stats.

Wait substitute prevents intimidate?
Besides Mighty Cleave and Rock-type Ivy Cudgel, the only other Physical Rock moves with 100% accuracy are Accelerock Salt Cure, and Smack Down. Accelerock and Salt Cure are exclusive to certain Pokémon, and no one is going to run Smack Down, outside of some weird gimmick.

@@thedashey Just used trick room and gave it a quiet nature and put no speed investment and then trick room and room service do the rest and I can still use expanding force but put more into bulk

Since I heavily doubt you’ll be covering them, what do you feel like is the main thing holding Iron Leaves back, and how would you realistically go about fixing it? It’s clear that it’s the weakest out of all of them, but considering they all share the part-Psychic type and the same 590 BST, I’m admittedly not aware of what makes it so much worse.
Grass isn't the best offensive typing, with most of OU resisting it. It also as a much weaker move pool despite having the best offensive stats. Its signature move, psyblade is initially the weakest with 80 base power and without any good electric setters, a common problem with the Quark Drive pokemon. It is a good partner to indeedee with psychic terrain, which also boosts psyblade to 120, but there are just too many steel, dark, and even ghost type pokemon dominating the tier for the strategy to be relevant. Iron Crown and Iron Boulder's steel and rock typing are much better offensively and Iron Crown has a good movepool to be able to utilize terralization effectively, something Iron Leaves cannot.
It isn’t terrible, but you would never use it over Rillaboom or Amoongus.
I think he's gonna be great with Clear ammy.
Things I know as facts even though I know they're wrong:
Rock resists Bug
Bug is weak to Ice
Bug is weak to Psychic
Ice is weak to Ground
The bug ones are thanks to gen 1 and me being a dumb kid, but it doesn't want to leave me. Gen 1 f*cked me up with effectivenesses in general for a while thanks to how it decided to show which message (which was like right only about 70% of the time even though the damage calc was right 😅)
The ice ground one is thanks to me thinking both are SE to each other, but idk where I got that from. Same with rock bug, guess it just feels like it should. As long as you ignore that ants can go through concrete albeit slowly :P

How does Mighty Cleave work against Burning Bulwark? Does the burn still happen?
From what I have seen, Mighty Cleave ignores any protection moves like Burning Bulwark as well as any secondary effects those moves might have.
