For me Maryanne's version is the preferred one. Its a quicker tempo version It sound's more "hopeful" . (Yep it's a sad one, Folks)

What a truly great amalgam of sight and sound. That lovely image of Peggy Moffit wiping away a "tear" is a nice touch! That period in music and fashion will never be repeated. It should always be remembered -- for ill or good. Many thanks MannyMUC! Pehaps, you could create a video set to "Summer Nights" (Marianne Faithful). That's such a haunting and lovely tune. It's also my favorite by Marianne Faithful.

I don't know her history so I wonder why she is given so much air time. She is certainly not good enough to be part of the stones.
Ivor you would understand what we thought about her if like me you were a teenage boy in the 1960, no one can ever feel or judge how it was in the past, but she was the most beautiful girl and she had a equally beautiful voice. As I have grown older i have taken more of an interest in her family history and what an amazing history of her parents it is too. thats what helped make her much more attractive. I just loved her, but she is not the only one lol, look up Mary Hopkins.
@@pjmoseley243 thanks. I'll do that. most everyone of that era got info via word-of-mouth. as such it was mostly wrong but highly imaginative. (not that it is any better today. we have greater access to info but our critical thinking is almost nonexistent.) chasing down the background will be enjoyable. thanks.

What a great song and pictures of faithful+ jagger,how young they were until years go by and the song still stays young but faithful+jagger have aged on, watching as tears go by,😢😢😢 thinking of great times of the 1960s gone by 😳😢😖😓😩😥😭😭😭😥😖😢😳😭😩😭
