    today companies around the world are helping with their AI products and services, but what apple has contributed to this landscape nothing all the big tech companies are open sourcing their lightweight models but apple always keeps an eye which way to sell their iphones to maximise profit. i hate apple as a company ,,..

  • @Ishaheennabi

    apple always keeps it less, they could have done more with chatgpt but their product managers know when to launch which software to increase their sales overall, i hate apple products for this...they always try to provide less services with increased price as compared to competitors. Some times they come up with differenct cables and sometimes with different accessories now they started doing same here in software. less features always, now see next year what extra features they will embed but not complete...if they were using gpt4 omni model they could have done more with it. but not apple needs some shitty profit, do you agree

    Thanks. How deep is the semantic index integration in your opinion? Similar to Notion Q&A? More? Less?

      @@1littlecoder It was so disappointing. A lot of people telling something great has happend at WWDC. But at least I can not see it ;-) Nothing new, nothing revolutionary. Putting Privacy as the only moat, while we are talking about US companies not European companies and privacy. Apple Intelligence? Ok no wonder that the stock dropped after this event. I wonder where is the next big thing? Did you spot it? Privacy? Colorful border for Siri? Own Emojis and Images on the cell phone? The calculator ;-)?

    That is quite genius. The RAG of all of your data offers so much potential and still leaves the control to the user. This is the first time a company has an idea of how we will operate with AI In the future. Also clever not to sell AI as intelligent which is still not the case since they fail in logic tasks.

    Thanks for the video. (I noticed a few changes! Nice).
    So, as far as the advert at 5:50, I don't see how this is any different from "Recall", it is essentially a system that keeps track of "everything" you do, whether or not you want it to. I just don't see why I should waste my computer resources tracking everything. If this is going to be accepted by "people", it must be off by default, and only enabled on a "per app" basis and Local only by default unless by user request.
    I still recommend moving that lamp so it is behind the camera... you will improve the image quality of your cam image substantially (AFAIK).

      its different than recall, where recall tracks what you did at any point of time and store it. semantic search is basically like spotlight indexing that is already happens in your mac so that your spotlight search can search on entire mac, but this is done with vector embedding to index the content of your mac ( like emails documents, not tracking at each time stamp), its a one way conversion just like file hash, this helps the AI to search by querying meaning of the content instead of keywords
      check chromaDB for instance its a vectorDB opensource for similar purpose

      @@AnirbanKar4294 So I am looking at Semantic Index: shown at 6:00, it is clearly tracking all the AI requests, and "messages" and emails... seems fairly much the same, just worded in a better way. Maybe it isn't taking screenshots every 5 secs... but other than that, it is pretty much the same thing.

    • @victorf1157
      @victorf1157 3 месяца назад

      @@1littlecoder that's a bit of a stretch. by that token apple adding usb3 or wireless charging to their products 258 years after everyone else did it was not an invention. yes they did add a new feature but it most definitely not an invention. it can't be an invention if it's been done to death already. anyways check the Seinfeld episode where George's father invented Festivus. It had he same exact slogan as Apple just 20 years or so before Apple. A Christams for the rest of us .. the Festivus .. an AI for the rest of us .. bla bla ..

      microsoft recall takes the screenshots automatically or it is recording all the time but semantic index is just whatever personal data you have on your PC that would be semantic

      Microsoft implementation is like 3rd party implementation whereas apple one is on system level, they are using system level API to communicate that what I understood
