    Thanks Kat and Mark, very useful phrases! It's interesting how also in spanish, they use the present perfect in Spain much more than in Mexico, where the simple past is more used. The european vs american language differences also do exist in spanish.
    Thanks for your great lesson.

    Kat: what is the difference between cable and electricity costs?

    • @highlevellistening
      @highlevellistening  21 день назад

      Good question!
      In the US, 'cable' is a payment for access to TV channels, like news, movies and sports.
      'Electricity' costs are your electricity bills, to power your lights, TV, and appliances.
      I hope that makes sense!

    Thank you
    I want to ask if "a bedroom " rental is the same as sharing,
    I want to add to what per cent your english is close to real English
    Please excuse me in my mind English people might be speaking too fast, or am I improving 🥰
    Thank you
    Day after day, I'm improving ❤❤❤

    • @highlevellistening
      @highlevellistening  23 дня назад +1

      Good question!
      In the UK at least, if you only rent a bedroom (and in a shared house), it's called "a bedsit." In big cities, quite a few people rent and live in bedsits. So you would say: "I live in a bedsit in London."
      As for our speaking speed, we are experienced teachers so we tend to grade our language a little bit more slowly and clearly, but it's still very close to natural speed. If it's too easy, you can also ignore the subtitles and see how much you catch without them.
      I hope that makes sense!

    • @HalaAlhala-cv6vk
      @HalaAlhala-cv6vk 23 дня назад

      @highlevellistening thank
      I understand 100% without subtitles. I look when I find new words or expressions.
      Thank you 💚💚💚
