I’ve seen the Big Boy locomotive in person. The pictures don’t do it justice, it is absolutely massive up close. The wheels were over a foot taller than me.
I saw it at union station in Kansas City and the wheels were about five feet in diameter and don’t forget the whistle, videos don’t do it justice for how loud it was
Loved the video @MrNJersey! Can't wait for the next video man! The USS Hampton Roads (CVA-50) and the Union Pacific 4-8-8-4 Big Boy look absolutely Fantastic! In case anyone is wondering, The Air Boss is in charge of the Flight Deck Receiving Aircraft Returning from a Sortie while the Mini Boss is in charge of the Flight Deck Launching Aircraft Out for a Sortie. The Observer and Lights by the Flight Deck is Actually the Station for the Landing Signal Officer (LSO) and the "Meatball" Light System aka "The Ball". The LSO guides you in on your landing approach using the Lights and will let you know if you're too high, too low or Right on the Correct Glide Path. The Camera room near the Aft/Back of the Island Structure is what's referred to by Pilots as "The Vulture's Nest". This is because when an Aircraft Carrier Landing seems to be a even the slightest bit for the Worst, the Cameramen start rolling and will only cut if the Landing is Saved and the Worst one's being filmed throughout the entire aftermath in the event of an Aircraft Ditching or Crashing onto the Flight Deck, so that the New recruits that join up or are drafted don't make the same mistake again. As for 4014, she's still in Running Condition and does Limited Runs with Union Pacific in New York State (I think). 24 Locomotives were Built, with 4014 being 1 of the 8 Examples that are Preserved in some state. The Big Boys were designed in the 1940's for the Purpose of Hauling Up to about 5 Miles of Cargo along the Railway Lines. Unfortunately, because of the fact that the Couplers at the time couldn't Handel that much weight, the Big Boys ended up in the Shunting role instead.
Hey NJ wondering if you will do some more tutorials maybe more aimed at realistic steam engines? Like custom wheels and valve gear as I struggle with that stuff along with a question of will you feature wackymonk’s APT-E it’s realy good and I even got to help with the inside as I have been inside the real thing (I helped make the cab interior and the turbine area) it’s realy good quality and wackymonk is a realy good person
I just picked up the game watched most of your tutorials by now part from the Lua ones and some of your fixing creations. I was wondering if you could a more advanced micro controller one a series might be too much to ask for. I've been struggling for days now trying to make my fluid jets go in reverse without it being a clunky combination of logic and micro controllers I'd like the entire system for 2 fluid jets to be on a single micro controller block.
Hey man i'm a long time viewer of the channel and a stormworks lover and i was wondering iff you could do a tutorial on how to make a helicopter using jet turbine engines powering 2 contra rotating propellers and a tail rotor? so far i have spent 36 hours on such a project with no success, Love your videos man keep it up
Can you please discuss modular engine cooling. It seems impossible too cool most engines no matter how many radiators and pump you throw at them. A real life engine pretty much NEVER need more then one "3x3 radiator". My car has a 2.5l inline 5 gas engine and is cooled by ONE small radiator like any other car. However if i build the same engine in the game i would need more cooling then the average nuclear powerplant. What are the dev thinking.

Is the "fixing your creations" series still a thing?
Because i have a creation that would need some expert hands...
I mean, it works... But barely
As far as I know yes, just needs enough submits to have content for a video
Cool! Maybe one day you can start a nj stormworks server!
Great Video! Thank you for creating.
Meanwhile I made a racecar which already has 20 subscriber!!
Gonk !
