I recommend putting tile on the wall halfway up in a neutral color, because having raised 3 sons....they tend to make messes a lot especially next to the toilet wall. The tile on the wall was a brilliant thing for me to find because it saves the wall and is a breeze to clean up.
I hope they read this comment!!! Because when I heard wainscotting on the wall by the toilet I thought the exact same thing!!! Urine splashes will show up so well on it! Yikes! 😳 READ THIS CRANDALL AND MARCI! ❤❤️🥰🍁🇨🇦🙏🏻
I found out my lab (years ago) was allergic to chicken. I switched her to a limited ingredient dog food (salmon and sweet potato) and her hives and itching stopped.
At the grocery store, get a small bottle of Teatree oil, a pint jar of coconut cream. Mix them together and rub it on him sort of heavy. Might take couple times to clear the itching. All Neural, want hurt him if he licks it. Love PRAYERS ALWAYS
Maverick is getting so cute now that is he is having his own stories. I would love to sit and talk to him. They have a wild imagination at this stage. Just live it. 💕
love it when you take us shopping with you Marci. Glad that Goose is on the mend. Maverick is just the cutest. Hello Maverick👋and smart as well. Can't wait for you to take us tile shopping again!! 🤗🤗💞💞💙💙
The tomatoes look like they need water, the leaves are wilted, and that is a good sign. Otherwise, the garden is looking good, except for the squash bugs. That is everywhere. I hope Goose feels better soon. Itching on dogs is the worst. Maverick is pretty knowledgeable about what happens at the vet's. Naming all the animals that go there is pretty cool.
Thought for sure the Vet would have said allergies. The boys are so cute; an eye for an eye, or should I say hairs for hairs!! Marcy, love your sense of decorating (remodeling) and coordinating is great. Then to hear you didn’t get😮😮😮. I myself am color challenged!! Hope that little man(!) got some Chick-fil-A!!😋😋
Our pupper. Wicket had parvo as a puppy and lost all his hair at 12 years old. He had an immune problem too. Steroids helped him a lot. And antifungal shampoo every week. It looked like mange but dr did a skin scrapping and it was mushrooms 😮. He felt so much better.
Crandall, watch last week's podcast with Ben, Jason & Al. Homesteaders shop talk. Ben FINALLY got rid of those pesky bugs with an all natural spray called Jack (something) dead bugs. Can't remember it, tho. But he's battled them using Nemoil, etc, for years. Great video
Marci, clean & reseal your grout. I found out the hard way. Home Depot said to reseal your shower/tub tiles every 6 months to a year! Who knew! Till l got a leak. My shower was new 15 years ago, though. Yikes. Cost me a bundle, too 😒
Crandall, l hear homesteaders hanging up a brown lunch sack size paper bag blow in it poof it out. It's supposed to mimic a wasp nest, & they won't hang out there. Or make a hive. Worth a try. I'd have them hanging around my whole house. Lol❤❤❤😊
Iv'e done the brown paper bags to keep bees away. This will only work if you are setting up a new area. Where bees have not been at for months or years. Theyvtend to leave a pheron scent which will con't to bringbthat type bee. For us it was carpenterbee. We got a spray at ACE Hardware. Just ask them for sprays with pyrethin (spelling). Get the can with the most percentage. Guarenteed you will never go w/o this again. It works so well for the insects listed on tbe can. Also the brown bag sacks spray them with WD40, Bees don't like that smell. So spray the place with that too...😂Good luck. I hope Goose will get better now. Our dog years ago had same issue. Turned out it was the type of grass we had. He got Prednizone shots as well.
❤🎉 I'M AM THE FIRST 🎉,,, Yeah I'm So Happy that you have sent another video,,,I truly appreciate and love watching ALL of your videos,,, Because Crandall You Do Sooooo Much To Your Home and Land,,, And You are Teaching Maverick so many Trade's Hopefully y'all will have a great day 💓🥰
My dog has seasonal allergies and she is on a canine anti-anti-histime called apoquel from the vet. She takes it spring through summer and it has helped 100 percent. Love the daily videos!
All three of our dogs are on apoquel and it works wonderfully! The vet suggested changing their dog food first so we did that for 6 months and it did not work.
Marcie. Whink (brown bottle in cleaner section) will wipe rust stains right off. Awesome stuff. Also culligan has a rust out filter to take the rust out of your water before it gets into your house! It’s a monthly cylinder they replace. Very modest price.
I had a lab and it was his thyroid..after we got him on meds he was fine..his fur grew back..I brought him in every couple of months for labs..worth checking out the thyroid..
we went through those itchys with our dog, and I finally figured out he is allergic to pork !! No pork and he is fine, in the beginning of spring he showed some slight signs of some kind of weed or grass allergy, however that did not happen for very long, less than a week. Good luck with Goose. Love your videos.
We had to stop chicken with our dog due to intolerance. She was fine with chicken for 4 years of her life then all of the sudden it made her sick. Now we combine home made food (cooked hamburger meat fat drained and removed mixed with some carrots, blueberries and a little rice) with dry food that doesn’t have chicken. She does still itch a little bit with her ears and paws but she is much better. I think if we eliminate the dry food all together, she would be fine but she is a big dog so it would get quite expensive. Also, the only treats she gets is dry beef liver.
I have iron too. I got a tile like the $1.99 one. I’ve been surprised how much you can not see the iron. I’ve used only vinigar and water mix in spray bottle to clean. Works great on iron and it kills bacteria. I have a gray grout too.
Crandall my labmix lost all the hair around her eyes when we first got her. Lady at the pet food place suggested glutton free diet. Labs can be sensitive to wheat products. Honestly we never looked back. Gluton free cleared her up and when we lost her at age 15, earlier this year, she never had another problem, except when someone would sneak little gluton treats to her. You could try it. It's no more or less expensive than regular food, and it cant hurt. Maybe it would help along with the vet suggestion.
Hi from Northern Illinois Dotson-Ritter family...keep up the vids we love them and look forward to seeing every time whats new, next or just happy to see and enjoy you all. Thank you for sharing ❤👍👍
I had a dog that was loosing hair on his back as well. The vet switched me to a different dog food and said it would clear up, she was right. If your dog food has corn in it as a filler then it isn’t that good of quality. I also give my Weimaraner 1 tsp of Bio-Fats 3-6-9 twice a day for skin care and a healthy, glossy coat.
Looks like hot spots,we had a dog like yours.🤗❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Black dogs tend to get the hot spots, there was something the vet gave us that helped years ago,our sweet dog passed on years ago.
Crandall, I'm allergic to wasps and have a trap out back but, no wasps in it. Really enjoyed your video! Marci, looks like Harvey and Paxtyn had fun driving! Hope and pray that Goose is better soon. Looking forward to your next vlog. Love y'all and God Bless!❤
Crandall, Marci talking about the iron in your water reminded me to suggest you dig a sand filter for the well water. Several channels I watch have them and they're pretty effective. Texas Deb ❤❤
The kids are always a joy. 🤣I had the laugh when you showed one of your boys pulling his brothers hair. At first I didn't know what they were doing. Too cute. We had a big family and we all did things like that. I hope you find the tile you want. Another great video. ❤❤❤
Hi, I am a foster Mom for local animal shelter. I had a foster with the same skin issue. I used coconut oil that you would cook with. Rubbing it into affected areas and around. Worked perfectly 🐕 hair came back.
We have extremely high iron content in our water which turned our pool steps yellow. I researched & found that VitaminvC tablets removes all the discoloration & they are gleaming while again!!
If Goose’s issue continues, have him allergy tested. Our lab mix had the same problem, started getting cysts in her ears. Turns out she was allergic to a lot of her food ingredients, storage mites, that live in kibble type foods and other things. Had to start her on Apoquel.
Sounds like Goose has allergies, our dog had them..We gave him human allergy tabs & I do give them to my horse! (2)! (Dogs)1 in the morning & 1 at night til the allergies calm down & put it in a bit of a hot dog til he stops itching. Should take about 2-3 days!!! But do what your vet tells you. Cause I'm not a vet & just went thru the same issues & passing on info to ya, the really works!! Get better soon Goose!! Maverick is a lil Crandall mini me!! He acts just like you, Crandall...God Bless the Eldredge Fam
That was a very cute video that was good goose didn’t have anything bad wrong with him hopefully that medicine will work for him and get him better I hope you guys find the things for the boys bathroom the boys where good in the store those cucumbers looked so delicious I hope the training works for goose for when you take him hunting with you I really enjoyed the video I can hardly wait for the next video the garden looks great what you guys have in there those bees look mean I hope one day you guys don’t have them thank you for the video and your guys time I hope you and your family has a great rest of your night and to the start of the weekend thanks again ❤
You can try Hills Science Diet Sensitive Skin and Stomach food. It comes in dry and wet food. My dog loves it and it fixed his garbage gut problem and itching.
I am watching this video on my TV, but I came on my phone to comment. The best way to keep up with your grout and mould in your shower is put a squeegee hanging in there and when you’re done your shower squeegee the walls down and it helps immensely and you just buy them at the dollar store with a little Suction cup or something so in the shower and it’s right there every time you go to do it
Excellent video! I always learn something new about interior decorating from you Marci. You've got an eye for it. I usually have a hard time visualizing the final project. I sure hope the steroids clear up Goose's skin problem. I'll be looking for you guys tomorrow. You're really spoiling with a video a day. I love it!
I still think it's his bedding. Pillow, dog bed material, poly-filled, other chemicals, etc. It's something he is laying on since it's on his belly, neck and legs.
try to give white boiled rice you can use chicken bullion some fresh chicken add some of those cucumber any other veggy dog will eat or a can tuna in the rice tuna is good for the coat
With Goose's hair loss and the itching on his belly and paws I wouldn't be surprised if it's an allergy to something he is running through. Think of places you are taking him for hunting training is the vegetation different there then at your house. Using Prednisone is scary for people or dogs, it will likely work to reduce the inflammation that is causing the itching but can take a tole on the body so make sure you follow the vets instructions to the letter.
Also when spraying do it at night the wasp all retuen to the nest then. So you will get them all. We all taped a plastic bag around the hole carefully before spraying then quickly sealing it shut We made a safe plan. Spray some in the vag too.Wait a day or two before opening the nest up. Do that at night too!! Hope you read my prior memo what to spray those buggers with.
Marci, if you have any hard water stains in your bathroom sinks and toilets, use a product called Bar Keeper's Friend. Use the one that's in a shaker can. You can also use their product that's a multipurpose cooktop cleaner. Both work great. The company has been around for 140 years, so they must be doing something right. 👍... Vicki ❤
@@darlenemateri6521 I usually buy it at my grocery store. Walmart more than likely sells it too. It's by the Ajax and other cleaning products. There seems to be an allergy issue with lots of dogs this year in Michigan. I check my teacup poodle constantly for fleas and ticks with the comb that will get the fleas. She never has them. She goes to the groomers every 2 to 2-1/2 weeks. She never finds any on her. I started giving her Benadryl pills 2-4 times a day and it helps some. I pray Goose gets to feeling better.
On Goose, I wonder if it could be his diet. I've had dogs with food allergies that would lose hair and sometimes we're very itchy. I changed foods (especially when I re-read the ingredient list) After a food change, most of mine did much better! Texas Deb ❤
Maybe a better dog food without preservatives, corn meal and fillers. I just saw an post about how commercial dog foods are not the greatest for our pets.
I would recommend that if this keeps continuing take him to a dermatologist because there’s only so much your primary that can do a specialist can do more We’re going down the same route one as well and our primary vet could only do so much. She didn’t know what possibly be the issue. Meanwhile, we have found that he has like ulcers all over his mouth so now he has half of his teeth. Point is that specialist can do more. I’ve run more tests and will probably know of different diseases or Elements that might be contributing, and it is a lot of chunk of money upfront. The outcome could be a lot more better for you guys.
I got a Labrador cross and she is on Apoquel, it helps a lot with the itching. She also has some other medication which we spray on her feet if it flares up as they couldn’t get to the bottom of what was causing the itch. It’s long term but at least her fur has grown back
The boys sure are growing up fast. The twins are talking and moving around so well. Glad the pup is doing better. I had a lab with skin issues. It’s not easy. God’s blessings
Crandall, just a heads up, when Goose is taking pregnazone he will be so hungry. My daughter's dog, who NEVER got into the trash got into it whenever he could.
Our pit was getting skin loss and I put some yogurt in his food, not every day but 3 out of 7 days and it clearedup the yeast that seemed to be causeing the itch and balding.
For Goose you may have to take him off all commercial dog food and make your own dog food. We had to do that because our dog is allergic to something in commercial dog food.💖

Happy Goose will get better..♥️♥️♥️
It’s long term but at least her fur has grown back
Really enjoy your daily videos ! Bless you all❤️
The boys sure are growing up fast. The twins are talking and moving around so well. Glad the pup is doing better. I had a lab with skin issues. It’s not easy. God’s blessings
See you next time Mav❤
❤❤❤ from Canton Michigan
I grew up in Plymouth...graduated from Plymouth Salem
My dogs were always scratching so I changed their food to grain free and it helped a lot, just the normal scratching all dogs do. good luck with Goose
Yes Marci that wood is pretty
Crandall, just a heads up, when Goose is taking pregnazone he will be so hungry. My daughter's dog, who NEVER got into the trash got into it whenever he could.
I hope Goose can get better with the new medicine❤
Yeah it not that bad what a great dog
Our pit was getting skin loss and I put some yogurt in his food, not every day but 3 out of 7 days and it clearedup the yeast that seemed to be causeing the itch and balding.
Interesting! We may have to try that
Enjoying your daily vlogs!
I'm loving your vlogs, I look for your new ones every day!
For Goose you may have to take him off all commercial dog food and make your own dog food. We had to do that because our dog is allergic to something in commercial dog food.💖
