Compare to other genre wacking seemed to be a little bit weaker for them. Judges usually prefer hiphop, locking, and popping so yeah. There's still this biased decision according to their own liking but I will acknowledge Ibuki and AC they did very well
Waacking is by no means a weak genre... it’s all on ur creativity to win a battle, regardless of ur genre ... tho it definitely is the genre people discriminate against.
@@benjaminq2821 it’s because they think moving hands is easier, and old school waacking was actually very simple with more focus on expressions instead of arm control... while other genres were mostly skills + grooves. Then again waacking community was developed in lgbtq clubs and mostly women do it (plus the men who waack are often considered gay automatically which is sad) which is also leading to discrimination by general audience.
but honestly new generation waacking requires months & years of training otw easily u will injure ur arms and shoulder. It’s a very intensive dance.
@@benjaminq2821 Because it's feminine and the 'masculine' dances such as popping, bboying and hiphop are held in higher regard than waacking or voguing. I always find that people are patronizing towards waacking and find it 'cute' but never take it seriously as a dance style. You are less likely to win all styles battles because the judges are usually male or male identified women (preferring masculine things), so they won't see waacking as a proper style unless you are a top tier talent like Ibuki and even she still has difficulty getting the recognition she deserves. A lot of people complain that it's just flapping your arms around but I've tried different dance styles and waacking was the hardest style I have ever tried. You have to be insanely fit, coordinated and have a lot of back and shoulder flexibility for control. It literallly feels impossible whilst hip hop is easier to pick up. Also it gets accused of being repetitive, whilst locking exists and it's just as repetitive? But locking is masculine so it's okay.
@@preciousnunique this is ABSOLUTELY TRUE im ngl u can see it in some of yhe other contestants' faces esp when fanfan/AC dance that they don't rly care for waacking. ibuki has to integrate so many other different styles to be recognised and srsly it's so annoying bc I've done waacking voguing hiphop and krump and really waacking n voguing are both incredibly tiring to be well versed at,,, seriously i hate it in the dance comnunity sometimes
funny how people make it as a masculine vs feminine dance rivalry.. wacking is simply limited in its genre and is therefore "weak" in a sense and it highly depends on the individual to make the choreo or performance interesting, eg someone like ibuki. and even then ibuki slays because she has foundation in popping, choreography and other styles. a pure wacker is definitely inferior by its very nature.
popping as example is an umbrella term for so many techniques like strut, tut, pop, groove, boogaloo, animation, scarecrow and many more and is a highly technical style.
it's not even equal to begin with. it's ignorance to even try to level wacking with popping which is much more difficult.
to say the judges are bias due to some masculinity thing is a big insult to their professionalism. a female is as much to slay in popping like pandora and dytto.
you stupid girls speak of how a masculine dance will own battles when in fact bboys are least likely to win. wacking originate from disco and is not meant to be a hardcore dance genre to begin with. it really came from the idea of throwing your hands around when partying and as it developed, it picked up influences from martial arts, gymnastics and etc.
To say this is not to insult to any genre but just an objective take on dance styles. Comparing wacking to popping is like comparing contemporary or jazz with ballet which is bullshit given how difficult ballet is.

Nelson 比較old school的。 而且節目有些神話nelson. 介紹是說什麼幾乎沒敗績，其實不是。Nelson是算厲害聽音樂的popper, 但是如果論技術或招，他這方面沒那麼強。
Nelson is a very strong competitor who can pop to a wide variety of music honestly. He also has very good musicality. Poppin C is the better popping dancer tho. His technique is crazy good easily best in the world. But atleast till few years back poppin c versatility was a bit lacking. But honestly poppin c rn in way too strong.

AC遇到ibuki的时候无论是双方battle还是组队都显得没那么自信了……俩人实力差距还是很明显的
AC下肢步伐不好。其實甚至整體給人感覺有點僵硬, 感覺他整個人就是太筆直。瘦高有影響。
EDIT:感覺如果他去練一練hiphop,讓身體柔軟些，多些律動，再來加強他waacking, 應該會有突破。他現在就比較中規中矩的waacking吧，而Ibuki的不一樣。

Ibuki has amazing strength and balance. She dances hard, but she’s able to control her speed. She’s a way better dancer than AC.
