I enjoy making Korean savory pancakes. It's super cheap and easy to make too. The only ingredients needed are: need flours, water, a bit of sesame oil, and a large handful of minced scallions or minced chives. Mix all ingredients together to form a batter. Make your pancakes and dip in a 2:1 soy sauce and white vinegar sauce. 😋
I wish I had the words to describe how helpful these videos have been for me. I’ve learned so much, and I’m really grateful. I really love cooking and even grocery shopping now.
This is the only pancake mix I will be making from now on. My fiancé and I love it. It’s sitting in my pantry labeled “Struggle Pancake Mix” and it’s perfect for my struggle-bus of a life.
Bless your little soul and garters! I was starting to make fishcakes when your video began. You whipped up a mix, a batter, and three different kinds of pancakes, cooked and served, not to mention ate, faster than I got my first fishcakes in the pan. I need some of that RUclips magic! BTW, great video as always, Frankie, thanks.
@@Liiiiiiiiiiiiish ,lol, when I first got a little Samsung tablet awhile back they wanted a name for the tablet. I figured what the hey! Sue Sung, cousin of Sam. Y not? It kind of evolved from there. Too silly.
oooh, I'd love to see a special -- not even with recipes! -- that tackles the best way to get regrowables from different foods. Like, I know that you can regrow avocados from the pits, but they usually mold over for us. I know you can regrow pineapple from the top, but that hasn't really led anywhere useful for us either (maybe the house is too cold? is there a small greenhouse thing you could do?). We've had potatoes and carrots sprout greens, and mostly we bury them in the yard and hope maybe we'll see something later, but generally they just mold and turn to goo as well. And I'd like to grow mushrooms, but whenever I price kits, they're roughly the same as buying the mushrooms in the store, and they don't appear to regrow after the first batch, so why bother? Maybe some more specific instructions on how to manage these (and which zones work for them -- we're in the Pacific Northwest, which is fairly temperate if I understand things right, but does get snow) we could improve our Struggles by actually putting these remnants to use!
Yum. Love pancakes with blueberries. I add some syrup to the blueberries when cooking to flavor the syrup and have it go further than just the juice they secrete.
Thanx, Chef Frankie, for all your efforts to save consumers money by making our own food stuffs from scratch. I love the options you presented for delicious pancakes. I must admit my all time favorite pancakes are maple walnut with REAL Vermont maple syrup. I also like toppings such as apples, bananas, berries, mango, peaches, and pineapple, too.
As someone that doesn't really like pancakes very much I knew I should still watch this because you'd do something cool with them... and I was right! ^_^
Frankie! My favorite Italian MASTER of the cook! I dont know if you read these but Ive put some of your STRUGGLE tricks to my amateur-made cooking, and seems like im a lil ahead.$$.. I think you might b on to something: Comedy Cooking. Keep rolling out the magik, my friend!
When I was a kid we rarely had American style pancakes- usually had crepes- the only exception was “apple flapjacks”- basically just grated apple in the batter(same as the batter Frankie does here) they were surprisingly delicious!🤷♀️👍🏻🥰
When Frankie said, "This thickness was achieved by something called RESTRAINT. Because I did not push down on the pancake at any stage during the cooking process." I felt personally attacked.
I think struggle meals should do a “struggle grocery shop”??? You give us these awesome spending tips but no one knows what quantity to buy!! I think this would be such a great segment!!!!! So I just thought of this and I’m gonna put it on struggle meal videos! This would be awesome!!!!
Frankie, please do a crockpot special. There are a lot of crockpot recipes that work well for a busy person on a tight budget.
Please do, it's my ultimate cooking gadget for cheap, easy, lazy, but healthy meals daily.

@@RealHypocrisy ? What does that have to do with a house wife? I am a man and cook for myself or what does cooking equal wife?

Why would you say something so controversial, and yet so brave?

secret butter has no calories everyone knows that
it is known
In a secretive sort of way
Totally guilt free.
I know I asked before, but I'm gonna ask again. You mention Sage being a perennial. Can you do a video on herbs? ie, grow from cuttings or regrowing?

When he says struggle, I hear innovative. Or improvised. The improvised funnel!
I love you and your personality I could literally watch you all day 😂❤❤
That tower of pancakes though 😍❤️

I love the series my favorite food series on youtube. To save even more money, you can use bulk sausage instead of links in the final recipe.

As a teacher .. I love your struggle because our budget struggle is real.
So sad that a 14 cent egg is now more like 25 cents, but considering this recipe it's still worth buying eggs! Thank you for that incentive 😊
Frankie ♡ I want healthy affordable meals series. Like no highly refined stuffs and as close to the nature as possible! That would be awesome :)
Love ur show I learn a lot
Well done, Sir. Thank you for sharing.
Not only is "some lumps ok" but "don't you dare try to take out all the lumps" because you'll overwork it
Three's Company reference! I was saying the other day he reminds me so much of John Ritter!
When Frankie said, "This thickness was achieved by something called RESTRAINT. Because I did not push down on the pancake at any stage during the cooking process."

Very innovative!
I now know what to do with the arugula in my fridge. Thanks Tastemade 👍🏼
This is quite impressive!
Hyped!!!
In Australia, Swiss chard is called "silverbeet".
Bacon in the nonstick and cast iron for the pancakes? Would have been better the other way around no ?
coolest chef
Frankie saying oof... freakin adorable
Love this guy.
Shredded carrots + raisins x pancake batter, if you feel fancy whip up some cream or the cream cheese= carrot cake pancakes.

I wish you would make more video's
so you've been through the texture of Indian naan, with spicy flavour of butter chicken i assume...
Do people press down on their pancakes? I didn't realize this was a problem we had in this world.
I used to do that😣
I always thought you had to, in order for it to cook on the inside before the outside burned....
guilty lol
I used to, because I didn't know any better!
I think you must be a long lost family member☺
So excited for more
Were is this man getting so much free butter???
I have a mini waffle maker so can I use this homemade pancake mix for that as well.

Boil the sweet potato first, then the skin peels off very easily then you can fry the skins later- like a sweet potato hash.
How many pancakes does all that dry mix make?
What else can the strugglers make for less than 2 bux a plate? My mom needs these tips.
There’s a whisk in the back though 😂
How many pancakes dose that 1:5 cup mic make?

Have yall found a way to freeze pancakes without them sticking together?
Baking paper between each layer.
Taurus roll calllll!!!!
Waiting on that Musical, Frankie!
Struggle cakes!
Small nit pick, pressing a pancake wont stop the chemical reaction, but it will flatten out the air pocket that have already formed.
Does anyone know anywhere that has free butter?
Can I Get A Sub? If you buy fast food ask for free butter they will probably give you some
Frankie is a god
