I like that people actually like this thing. My dad was a drummer for years just in a local cover band and when I got into drums I asked him about the tunebot and he was not impressed lol. "Train your ears and stop being lazy he would say" I've been learning to play for a year and a half and yes i did learn to tune with my ears but when i started sending him audio clips of the different tones i could produce with this thing he was quite impressed. Curious to see how you make out with your snare though...i just can't seem to get my tunebot to work well with my steel snare. Keep up the good work Brother!!!
BROTHER, the Tune Bot changed my life BROTHER I used to take educated guesses with my tuning, BROTHER. The Tune Bot taught me what to listen for. BROTHER
I liked their tuning better as well. A tad more sustain and I like the lower pitch as well. Good video. Curious how these lined up with what note DW says to tune to? 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁
Awesome video, brother! I love the Tune-Bot! I tune my batter heads tighter for the rebound. If you wanna give my numbers a try or something mine are 10" 275hz D/220hz A, 12" 233hz B flat/175hz F, 16" 123hz C/98hz G. Sometimes I'll put it at 116hz B/82hz E Again, just very good for rebound and a good sound🤘🏼
I've always used a Drum Dial, and was curious about the Tune Bot. Thanks for the tutorial. A side note: comparing this to a chromatic tuner, can you use this to get the drum shell's note? Can you clamp it on the shell, (carefully. I saw how it clamps on to the rim, so shell might be tricky) tap the shell and get the note that way? If you can, I think you can achieve maximum resonance that way as opposed to just "high resonance."
I love my tune bot! It is very validating just to check your tuning with this, even if you are a boomer haha Happy holidays to you brother!
Happy holidays brother!!
