Only the original white Wii is compatible with GameCube games, and is the only Wii model to have ports for GameCube controllers and accessories, and a slot for GameCube memory cards to save your progress. Also, it's been way too long since my ordered-from-EBAY copy of Mario Kart Double Dash was confiscated. I keep checking my local retro gaming shop, All A-Board Games in Kamloops, BC, Canada, for any Mario games for the beloved system. I love the gamecube. It's my first console because I was late to the game in video games (I was born into the N64 era) and I would never sell it. I still play melee and double dash. I also have the Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition with OoT, MM, and the first 2 Zelda games.

Mm, the WiiU can technically play GC games, there's homebrew that allows you to do that (and you can use SD cards as memory cards and an array of controllers). They just locked it out to not have to include the Memory Card/Controller ports.
***** The problem isn't with software assets, it's with hardware; the slots to fit GC memory cards and controllers; it probably saves them about a dollar or two on each unit, and that does add up in the long run.
Skawo Not only that, but if the Wii U were GC compatible, they'd probably have to keep manufacturing controllers and memory cards too, for people who want to play the games but didn't own a GC previously. Add to that that they don't make more copies of the games, so everything is on the used market, where Nintendo gets no revenue, AND, not making it GC compatible leaves the door open for the games to be released on Virtual console, or remade in HD, like Wind Waker.

I think placement in boat or parachute in Pair-a-Sailing is random. But yes, it is harder when a human player controls the boat and not the AI. And in Order Up, I'm pretty sure it's a shake, not soup.
I HATE being the one player in Tree Stomp. I lose EVERY TIME. Funny thing is with Order Up I have a tendency of going towards the nearest fries and trying to make sure I'm near it Even when it's not something he orders I open the box with fries anyways, lol. No. The AI is not at its best because, apparently, the Hardest difficulty has not been unlocked. It is unlocked by beating Story Mode on Hard.

I think Mario Medley would be better if human characters (not animal) had their own swimsuits on instead of their full clothes.

I HATE being the one player in Tree Stomp. I lose EVERY TIME.
Funny thing is with Order Up I have a tendency of going towards the nearest fries and trying to make sure I'm near it Even when it's not something he orders I open the box with fries anyways, lol. I love fries so that explains it, I think :-D
