It's as if he has a catalog of speeches on Trump ready and queued up in response to any question. And he delivers them as if they're speeches. This throws off the interviewer. Hence the long pauses after Costa's answers. Are the answers good? Yes. And I can't put my finger on what, exactly, about this that feels...off. Nothing spontaneous. And that may be due to the interviewer.
