It may be one of my favorites too, but the answer’s simple. It’s because it’s less cohesive and more disjointed. The film follows multiple disconnected plot lines about the broad concepts of life, death, meaning, and humor over multiple sketches, instead of having multiple sketches follow one pre-established plot. Instead, Life of Brian follows one running plot about a Christ-like figure, and The Holy Grail follows multiple knights all under King Arthur moving to find the Holy Grail. It’s also not on most streaming services, so fewer people get to really experience it nowadays without buying it on its own.
@@elipse371I agree with everything you said. As someone who has recently gotten into Monty Python I don’t understand why The Meaning of Life isn’t on Netflix when just about everything else related to Monty Python is on there.
@@cooperwolfe5478 Either Holy Grail or Meaning of Life. Life of Brian is great, it’s just that I personally prefer the disjointedness of the other two.
Eric summed it up with "The Galaxy Song" with the last line of the lyrics: "and pray that there's intelligent life, somewhere out in space, 'coz there's bugger all down here on Earth!"
1:50 Why the Mickey Mouse ears? What does that imply? That Family Entertainment is just a suckleteet to keep the multitudes of families all passified without questioning their existence?
I think the mickey mouse ears are a good find. There's definitely a hint at (break-neck) procreation and what department of the mammal kingdom is better equiped at doing this than the rodent family? And I suppose that, way before the internet age, Disney Inc. was one of those mass consumption factories, just like MacDonalds. In their own way, the mickey mouse ears put and end to the nature-nurture debate... ;-)

I don't think they quite get it. In the subtitling of the French version, the caption "Middle Age" was translated as "Le moyen âge", which literally means the Middle Ages. German people, on the other hand, seem to love Python and especially this film.
As a French, Monthy Python is excellent! Their three movies are so enjoyable to watch and there is a certain number of skits that are still relatable today.
@rogaldorn1405 theres actually a fourth that not many are aware of and its called "A.d Now,For Something Completely Different " which would later initially begin The Flying Circus. Its pretty hilarious.

Probably. They also might have thought it was funny.
Presumably just a sendup of "Team Rodent," as Carl Hiaasen calls Disney.
Considering it also predicts that every thing that we watch or know are owned by disney nowadays lol
