The Happiest of Fridays, Everyone! I mean... what could be better than a Lisa & Steph video? Such Happy! 🤗
Lisa recently realized that though she visits Appleton regularly, she never gets to see Steph in person. So we put our heads together and decided she and Steph should host the podcast together. But also... Lisa has been wanting to talk about pens for small hands, so she and Steph filmed this video as well. And I think they enjoyed it!
What do you think of Lisa's choices? Like Steph, I was also sure that a certain ocean-going pen would make the list. There was one pen choice, however, that surprised me because I would not have considered it a pen for small hands. Did you catch that pen? Was there another pen that Lisa could have chosen? Are any of the pens Lisa chose your favorite pens? Let me know in the comments and I'll be sure that both Lisa and Steph get the feedback! 😁
As you read these words (if you're reading them Friday morning Wisconsin time), I am zipping along a highway heading west. I left Appleton in the wee hours this morning. I'll make a couple of overnight stops en route, but I hope to be in San Diego late Sunday afternoon. Steph will be my stand-in for the next two podcasts - because she's a trooper!
Again, Happy Friday, Everyone! THANK YOU SO MUCH for watching and liking and subscribing and commenting. I've said it before but I'll say it again: You all are THE BEST! #thankyouthankyou

Eric-can Lisa’s picks be listed in the comments? I’ve already forgotten one of them 🤪😊but we clearly like the same style and size pens. One of my other favorites in this range is the Pelikan M200 line.

Surprised by the TWSBI Eco - expected a Mini or Vac Mini! Also expected an ST Dupont 😊 Great video, thanks.

I love the TWSBI Eco, but in my small hands it looks like a... Broom... 🧹(Maybe that's coz I'm a witch with tiny hands... Lol...)
The TWSBI Diamond MINI is def a much better fit in my 🧙🏻‍♀hands
My favorite pens, btw, are the Kaweco sport (all the different models & materials) and the Kaweco Liliput, that you mentioned

Great videos ladies! Lisa, I did not get any of the picks you made, but they are good choices! Thank you for sharing your list of five small handed size pens.

      Especially, the burgundy one. 🤩

For a small hand... Smallest I have is a probably 1920s New Diamond midget eyedropper filler. About the same length and diameter as an international standard short ink cartridge, uncapped. 😁
Really shocked that Brian hadn't rubbed off on you, Lisa. No Esterbrook CH? 😂
Great selection of pens that I, usually a vintage pen user, can get behind. Thanks for sharing your choices!

Lisa, you have now become my Pen Pathfinder....you have nailed 3 out of my 5 absolute favorite, constantly used pens, after much trial and error. And you have introduced me to the Pilot Custom Heritage SE, which is now on my shopping list. Clearly we like the same type pen, and I would add that, for me, it is partly a function of nib length. If I can find the nib length listed, a nib shorter than .8" will ensure a comfortable position for my hand and grip style, and therefore the best writing experience. Thank you for this marvelous topic!

My favorite small pen is a solid colored dark brown Pilot Prera in a medium nib. They don't sell these here in the US. In the US, they mostly sell the demonstrator version. The solid color is more classy, and the pen writes like water.

Thank you for mentioning the Prera! It legit feels the most comfortable in my hand even though I own much “nicer” pens.

I really loved this. I prefer smaller pens. The new Pilot SE material looks like they have so much depth and shininess. The pens that I have multiples of are the Pro Gear Slims but my favorite pen is the Platinum Modern Maki-e, rabbit and moon with a F nib. It's longer than the Pro Gear Slim but has a slim profile that fits perfectly in my hand and writes like a dream. It writes finer then all of my EF nibs. I never hear anyone talk about this pen. I wonder if mine is a fluke?

I don't know how to think of my hands as I have small palms but long fingers. So, perhaps a medium hand? I am not sure but slim and larger pens work for me. I just adjust my finger placement, depending on the pen. My favorite Pilot is the Custom 943. Love the larger nib. I do have a Sailor 1911L. I think of my Benu Talisman as small.
On the big size, the Opos 88 Bela is gargantuan and not a pleasure to use.
So is there pens to choose for medium hands?

Brilliant video! I have a green Liliput too, I got a gold nib for it which in my opinion makes it look way better! :)

What is a Sailor pro gear slim and Sapporo difference. Name only?

    • @dashsunil
      @dashsunil 2 года назад +2

I guess slim in Japanese is called Sapporo. 😊

Great choices, Lisa! However, the liliput should be put under xsmall category. 😆
The SE pilots are very tempting. I really loved the colours, especially the orange one. 😍

Thank you for this topic. [I can use a TWSBI Mini unposted.]
What about pocket pens? There are a lot of choices, especially if vintage models are included.

most of my collection is Pilot78g+s and Pilot Preras but I did like the colour scheme on that Sailor Pro Gear slim, my Pro Gear has the black w rhodium trim:); is that ClaireFontaine paper you were using as background?: it has interesting rulings

Though larger-handed, I am crazy for Sailor Pro Gear Slim Mini, which is shorter than the PGS, yet is fatter.
