"We're missing six sea monsters"
Well jesus Frank your only job was to keep track of them and you lost SIX?!
Don’t blame Frank man. Its not his fault they got lost.
The production and presentation quality of this is amazing! You truly are a worthy successor to Tom Scott now that he has stopped making "Interesting Things/Places" videos. Amazing Talent!
He did such a good job explaining how he knows that there's six missing sea monsters out there

Props to you mate!
That was impressive on many levels, the timing, the recitation of information, the location, and the ideas :) I agree with other comments, this channel is definitely underrated

considering that deep sea creatures rise to the surface when in stress and pollution causes them to have stress, now it is the perfect time for them to emerge
Not entirely sure what this refers to, most deep sea creatures already ascend towards the surface every night as part of a common cycle. I guess their might be more factors but they already do it on a daily basis
I'm not really sure how much I buy the marbles out of the bag comparison.
In that example, and the person is pulling marbles out of a bag at a steady rate, and nothing is influencing the speed at which they draw marbles.
But the speed at which the sea monster curve has leveled over the decades is being influenced by how quickly our technology is advancing, the rate at which we are doing underwater exploration, and the increase in easy ways to document sightings or corpses of animals, using photos or videos.

First off TY for making this video and second I gotta say your pace of walking while steadily talking all around that seaside town and staying on point is super impressive lol.
Daredevil: “I have the best one take scene.”

Amazing video as always!
Incredible coordination with the walk - spotless timing, while it still felt spontaneous and natural.
I hope you get a lot more recognition going forward!
No script reading. Just a man with a whole lot of knowledge. Great video!

I totally agree with you!

What a great video. I'm amazed you could memorize this script and time it so well with the location throughout the shot. And this was all done in a single take, impressive! This gave me a very Tom Scott vibe. Definitely subscribing!

seriously, i can't even memorize a 10 second line and say it in front of a camera without messing up
This is the best educational video on youtube, it's concise, informative, graphically beautiful, well presented, interesting, and the fact it was done in one take, with the walking timed to the graphics displayed, using the environment for scale and for landmarks, and the quality of production, its perfect
Gotta give credit that this was shot in a single take and not jump cuts everywhere.
Also ironic just talked about sea monsters but finishes with "keep looking up"
The fact this is a single one-take video with seamless edits that add to the presentation is amazing!
The way you perfectly coordinate the view with what you're referencing in the script...and the fact that it's all one cut with no script in hand...this is the cinematography of the Gods.

I don’t often send a yt link to someone, but after hearing many citations, detailed information, dates and other, and realising that it is only one take, I was blown away by the thought of the shear amount of effort/time this must have taken.
