Dragon Ball FighterZ just did not appeal to me. The roster kinda bothered me and even with its additions it feels more like they kept popular characters out of the game or characters that should be in the base game just to resell them as DLC. Sure, they are 'unique' as I would hope when I pay money for a new seperate character, it still feels like a scummy practice which made me uncomfortable to support this game. If you want to play just Super and Z, you might be satisfied. If you want to play GT, you have 3 characters which have no Dramatic Finish interaction and don't make a good pairing. I would expect SSJ4 Goku when we get Baby, and when we get Gogeta, I expect Omega Shenron. But Gogeta and Baby just doesn't hit right. And while Baby did fight kid GT Goku, it feels like having Base Goku in a game with Final form Frieza but no Super Saiyan Goku around nor with a Dramatic Finish between them. Regarding Gogeta, his moves are mostly different from his anime counterpart because most his anime exclusive moves went to SSJGSSJ Gogeta, so his signature move, the normal Big Bang Kamehameha, is not available, thus the character feels incomplete. Same with Baby's Super Galick Gun being purple instead of Blue. Personally the kicker is them selling base form Saiyans as DLC, which should be in the starting package and GT Goku which seems to be a compromise to have both Kid Goku and SSJ4 Goku, but ending up disappointing both parties. I think Sparking Zero will suffer a similar problem with them taking out concent and reselling them as 'new content'. I would personally expect it to be the game with 'everyone is here' like Smash Ultimate, but the game won't have all characters from BT3. Not even most GT characters that should be standard in a game as big as Sparking Zero. And SSJ4 Gogeta will either be a pre-order bonus or paid DLC.
