Its gonna be a joint venture of sorts. I dunno how much contribution state government will have or even if they have . But Central government will provide hefty portion. @@maramnikhilreddy424 sorry, I did some weird math in my head. But still 65 is toooooo slow. Considering the speed limit is 120ish and there’s not going to be any stops on the way, it should take 2.5 hours
@@hilify I don't know the expressway is from inner city of Bangalore, Chennai or from outskirts. If it starts from outskirts then the speed is low, if it is from interior than we should consider city traffic.
Actually we don't. The current road is toll free and takes 7 hours. If certain sections of the road were made to bypass the cities of Vellore, the journey could be even faster. With this new road, we will pay a minimum toll of Rupees 1000 and spending 18000 crores for a 2 hour shorter journey? How does that make sense? Also its worth noting that Bangalore and Chennai have multiple trains that only take 6 hours to cover the distance, so it makes no sense to pay extra 1000 rupee toll to take this road.
Its also about connecting the smaller towns and villages along the way to each other and to the two big metro cities. It's not just for ordinary cars, but also for trucks (which carry most of India's freight) and buses. Transporting freight over long distances on rail is better but when transporting freight between smaller towns and villages, highways and expressways are the way to go. Most of the developed world have become developed by building such expressways, and India should develop them too.
@@dwarasamudra8889 The Mysore Bangalore expressway destroyed every business that was on the previous highway. Go on it and see for yourself, you will see newly constructed hotels and restaurants that have been deserted.
