Thank you DPM Lawrence Wong, Shazza, Josh Makazo and Sherman Zhuo for taking the time to share more about your musical journey! See you guys soon for the new season of making .wavs 👀🎶
Just bcoz he loves music doesn't mean he is frivolous. There is time for serious issues, there is time for lightheartedness. What I see is that DPM LW is trying to connect with the young thru music. Indonesian Pres Jokowi also often play rock music with an electric guitar to his people.
I can relate to the lady a lot. Always been a lyrics kinda person since young - but the melody helps to convey it. This is why I can’t easily appreciate instrumentals alone, except for some like studio Ghibli music (which to be fair has the message conveyed through animation as well) - getting better at it though. Great that DPM shared his personal journey as well.
Shazza's performance was the most natural - the song's verse bears an uncanny resemblance to Barry Manilow's "Some Good Things Never Last". But hey, what do I know??
Netizens puzzled by mainstream media fixation on DPM Lawrence Wong’s guitar skills over his ability to lead Singapore. They urged for tougher scrutiny over the PM-to-be’s policies addressing pressing issues like cost of living, job insecurity, and rising HDB prices.
I also don’t care if you guys vote for pap or not this country needs more opposition parties no matter what u people attack those who don’t wan to vote for their pap that is their choice
While acknowledging respect for Deputy Prime Minister Wong’s hobby, netizens are urging the media to pose tougher questions to him regarding policies and solutions for pressing issues faced by Singaporeans, such as the cost of living, job insecurities, rising HDB resale prices, and economic downturns.
The online community is bewildered by Singapore’s pro-establishment media’s excessive focus on PM-to-be Lawrence Wong’s guitar skills instead of evaluating his leadership abilities amidst global challenges and uncertainty.
We need a leader, not a busker’ Another comment sarcastically pointed out that while DPM Wong promised to dedicate “every ounce of his energy” to his role as PM, it seems he’s dedicating more ounces to TikTok and guitar. “We need a leader, not a busker.”
