I tore mine in West Tx. Mesquite thorns are hard on gear. Love it though. Klim does make some quality stuff. You can send things into them and they will repair or replace sometimes if its a defect.

Been riding in the Dakar over the boot pants and Mojave in boot pants, plus the jerseys for a number of years, both are great and absolutely bombproof. Last summer I got a pair of the Baja S4 mesh over the boot pants, game changer in hot weather riding. The mesh venting makes warm to hot weather riding sooo much more enjoyable, and they're also super tough. Picked up the Baja S4 mesh jacket on sale this past winter, another great piece of gear. Passes so much air that I actually got a little chilly riding in the evening on a very warm day. Now I stash a light rain/wind proof shell in the jackets back pouch. Perfect combo. Yes Klim's a bit more expensive, but certainly worth it. Plus, you can find them on sale.

after going through gear from fox, fly and msr I finally got my hands on the Mojave kit. I love it, super rugged and breathable. It seems worth it so far, buy once, cry once!

Like you said, not cheap, but I've found over the years that it last 3-4 times longer than other gear! The only other brand I think is on par with Klim, is Fly Racing, it's also the only other gear I buy now.

You got me into Fly Racing Patrol pants a few years ago... They've been outstanding and are my go to pants in anything but roasting hot summer heat. But I keep wondering if an investment in Klim gear is worth it. One question, do the Dakar pants have any baked in hip\coccyx guards?

I really like the Patrol pants as well. I was wearing O'Neal Apocalypse pants and they are too baggy and thinner. I'm glad I made the switch and I only did so because I need two pairs for camping trips. I tend to get very muddy.

    No better gear than KLIM.
Seems expensive, but when you pay 30% less for any other brand that only lasts 50% of the time that KLIM does, you are actually saving money. You're welcome.

I agree, but I have gone through Klim gloves. My jackets and jersey are awesome and worth every penny, but they need to improve their gloves.
