Cubase is the one for sampling, makes Ableton look like a toy, Steinberg are killing it, & i know its not cubase but now Halion is the best soft sampler ever made.
Only "found" you a couple of days ago and I'm delighted I did. Going to gobble up all of your earlier posts and probably subscribe to your patreon page as well as the RUclips channel
For key and bpm detection I often like to use DJ software, for example Virtual DJ (free version), to get a good starting point. Works really quick and easy.
I usually use Mixed in Key when I’m DJing… but like all of those key detection softwares it can sometimes be off by a step on the circle of fifths and on this track it thought it was c#m - and of course they do not detect fluctuations in tempo for old tracks!
@@Tutorial_ism this is very good stuff, thank you. I may have an even more stupid question... How do you get this wav file as a source, did you sample it yourself and if so how did you do that, from a streaming service? But how do you get/use such a source a legal way, temporarily to build your own track from it? thanks again!
Hello, I have a question, you can ask for a video like in cubase from any sample to make a melody in piano roll and how to tune any samples ???? This is how I look at you tube and I am looking for such a tutorial and I can not find anything like this in the topic of making any sample of your own melody in a piano roll in cubase.
I have Cubase 12 Here’s my problem. I took the think break from Lyn collins. How do I take this audio sample and chop it up and put it in sample control where I can chop it up for a drum and base song. Is what I’m trying to do impossible to do in Cubase or do you know another method to chop up an audio breakbeat. Any information you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
I’m all my years on cubase never knew about that white line showing the zero crossing! Thanks mate

Interesting, that even Pros have to catch each hit to line-up a given track to a certain bpm ;-)
please I NEED HELP HERE, can't find my extention plugin
It is in the Steinberg Download Assistant in the Cubase install
