@Justinightmarerulz For the last films I really wanted it to end, but now I'm not sure. Hoffman's fate was only implied but it would make a great cliffhanger.
The main reason that I wouldn't want it to happen is because there are several moments there to make it a grand finale and a pleaser for the fans such as the return of Dr Gordon, finally seeing the reverse bear-trap working, and where the final scene takes place. It all brought the series full circle, so it would be a shame to ruin that.

@Justinightmarerulz I wanted it to end because it felt tired and stretched, but now that it's done and there are still a few loose ends and I'm disappointed. Hoffman's death is only implied, not really enough Dr Gordon (we are told what he's been up to, but not why. The montage at the end is so brief, we are told just to accept everything that happened over the course of another five films), we don't know what became of Bobby or who were behind the other too pig masks.

@16DoesntMatter I didn't even watched the movie yet, but I think everybody knows who you are talking about... And the character was not stupid, just too naive for the whole concept...
