today i'm taking you on a tour around the nanyang crescent hall cluster (which includes tamarind, saraca, and hall 7). you'll take a tour around my room too hehe :)
pls bear in mind that this is one of the newer clusters, so it is obviously more modern and well-equipped. the other halls in ntu may have different facilities.

yes we can stay in the same building, but on different floors. there's no curfew but by right visitors should leave before 11.30pm!

Memories of my past are flooding back as I gaze upon this building 🥹. I resided here(Saraca) in the past.
The canteen at that time had an additional halal store, specifically an Indonesian stall (before 2020 contract). The Ayam Pangang set from that stall was exceptionally delicious. I heard that stall was permanently closed around ~2020.
And the room rent used to be lot cheaper.
If don't mind me asking, which subject you're studying at NTU.

Hi! I have a question regarding ntu hall? I would like to ask does every hall has a culture or not and are there activities held?
Hii! I think some old halls will have a stronger culture, but newer halls tend to be more quiet. We have some annual activities like sport comps, inter-hall games and dance, but you can be as involved as you want :D
hello for the bed, do we have to bring our own or it will be provided ?
hi, the bed and the mattress are provided, you just have to bring a bed sheet and pillows

hi, wifi and utility are under the month rent, but for AC you have to pay per use :(
How to dry the clothes in hall, the space outside the room (tamarind hall) for drying clothes is limited.... Could dry tje clothes witj drying rack on top of the roottop since you shows the rootop area... Tq

Nope the rooftop is just for sightseeing :))
I think most people just do laundry in smaller batches, then use the dryer to dry them right away. I used to use the racks outside the window but eventually decided that using the dryer is much more convenient.
You can bring your own drying rack and leave them along the hallway also but that's not recommended due to the limited space

Question! Is the room and bathroom mixed men and women? Like can you pick your roomate or is it assigned to whomever no matter the gender?
hi, men and women will be on separated floors with respective single-gender bathrooms.
you can choose your preferred roommate also but it is not guaranteed that they will put yall together :')
How long does it take to walk down from south to north spine?
i think 10 mins should be enough :)

I have never encountered one myself but they may climb up to your room esp if ur on the lower floors 🙈
Could you please tell me what's the difference between Hall 7 and Tamarid hall (Since they're in the same cluster) ?
About the music room with instruments, will we be able to gain access to the piano weekly (if there is one)?
They are basically the same in terms of structure, just that tamarind is further away from the bus stop and common facilities.
As for the music room, normally residents don't have access to it. But I think you can try asking the admin office for permission.
@@dquynhdo Wow! And which hall does the toilet you showed in the video belongs too? And does the other 2 halls in the Crescent Cluster has the same name toilet facility too?
The one I showed was in Hall 7, but I think the other toilets in the cluster look kinda like that too. NTU usually has the same design and building structure for halls within the same cluster
@@dquynhdo oh wow that's great! May I also ask if the toilets includes a bidet (Handhold/automatic) like bathrooms in Vietnam does? And all blocks in the Crescent Cluster have elevators right?
Well... so there are multiple cubicles in the toilet, but only the handicap one has a bidet. I think you can just feel free to use that one though.
