I did three covers (I think) for Self-Publisher after this issue, even though I had moved on to direct sales by then. Too much fun. I used to have that Guest Check comic from Dolphin Moon, it was a sister of Gosky Comics. Collier's titles prior to that were Fan Scene and Fandom Times, FYI.
No kidding! I think I only have that first issue, had no idea it kept going for a while. And thanks for the reminder of Collier's zines - I drew a blank!
Comics F/X was produced by the "Seattle Four," Edd Vick, Hal Hargit, Wade Busby, and myself. We decided to produce the newszine after we heard the news of SPCE's demise.
@@FANzineLiveGuy, it was a lot more work than we had anticipated! After a couple of years, we were totally burned out. Not only was it physically demanding in terms of time and focus, but we unavoidably covered controversial topics which were emotionally draining. Overall a good experience, but the project needed a bigger crew to serve the fandom properly.

Kevin Collier produced Fandom Times. It was the very first small press newszine that I had ever purchased. Must have been 1984, 1985? Not sure.
84-85 would make sense. Thanks, Jeff!
