Great interview. I love these 2. My husband and I have done a pretty good job of installing culture and pride in our Indigenous babies but SNRK came around in their teenage/young adult years and sealed the deal. I'm so happy to see our generations come out strong and beautiful and secure in themselves and who they are. They even have my husband listening to them and putting his hair in braids again and wearing his jewelry. They are validating and reaffirming the beauty and love in our culture and reminding those of us that have had years of the daily grind, who we really are.
Super dope interview/podcast. Havnt got into there music but def felt the buzz in the city. After getting to know them a bit more through this I’ll check out the catalog
Quickest sub for me ever. Sick hearing the bball story cuz thats exactly how it was for me. Being the younger punk on the court with all the older g's from the neighborhood is how i found hip hop too. Dope episode. Stoked to hear whats next. Respect
Very dope Episode❕. Much respect & Love to SNRK for really being out here working, motivating and inspiring our young people. I’ve watched their grind and come up it’s amazing to see where they are now after all the years of hustling & pushin💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🌍🌍❗️ Definitely had to SUBSCRIBE, I’m loving the all around vibe and feel of the podcast boyz. YALL mesh perfectly, I’m Gunna Manifest I’ll be on a episode one of these days in the future lol 😆😂🤣 Stay pushing my G’z ❗️❕
PS: When I was coming up I used to always make it a point to be known I was as a hiphop artist first and foremost. Because I felt majority of the time they were trying to put me in this box. So I’d always explain when they’d try labelling me “Indigenous Rapper” I’d say hey I’m a rapper and I make music for everyone, and it just so happens im indigenous. It’s something I’ve always been super proud of, but when it came to hiphop I always seen it as we are all HIPHOP, no differences. Because they would always put this label on artists who are Indigenous but do not do the same thing with other rappers of various ethnicities. Just thought I’d share that. 🤷🏾♂️ HIPHOP SAVED MY LIFE. I love this shit man💯❗️❕
