Major difference here is that the person driving in the bronco knows how to drive and the person in the Jeep has no idea what they’re doing. Both of those vehicles are about equally capable of going anywhere the other can go. You would be hard-pressed to find some thing that one could do that the other couldn’t. Get whichever one you prefer and you’ll have a great time off road.
Right tires are your very best friend and knowing the right air pressure in your tires for sand too! Had a 1977 cj5 with a Chevy 400 ci engine and auto tranny. I could come to a complete stop at the very bottom edge of the bowl at Sand Lake, Oregon and put the pedal to the metal and go right over the top of the bowl no problem ever. Not many vehicles could do that. Most needed a good run to get over the top.
I'm a Ford guy but that Bronco is a $135k POS . People are out of their mind paying that kind of money for what they're getting, more money than brains. I'll take my 9 year old F150 FX4 any day. It's got a real motor in it too not an Eco- Poop.

The performance of the car has to be also with the ability of the driver. You cannot say automatically that the Bronco is better than the Jeep on this. The driver ability and assertiveness plays an important role.
For starters, you would need a jeep, Rubicon, 392 for an equal comparison of power. Then you would need to go up the same trail, and hit it at the same speed then it would be comparable.
There’s no wrangler with as advanced a suspension package on it to truly compare. I really do like the Wrangler 392 mind you, with the Extreme Recon package,, nice Jeep. Right from the factory.

I have owned both, prefer trucks, when I was able to play hard off-road. I preferred high speed prairie trails in the foothills vs rock crawling. I gravitated towards the F150 Raptors, naturally. If i was going rock crawling I had several short box C10s that were modified to different levels. I have the advantage of access to private trails that were created for & by full size trucks. I did try to get into the Gladiator Mojave and it’s just not a great high speed truck on the prairie trails. The Solid axel has a shortcoming there,,, heh heh. Can’t ever truly have both. I have arthritis in my lumbar and lower thoracic and so the pounding that can happen, playing either way, is just too much now. I drive a 2022 F150 Tremor with a very new Fox 2.5 remote reservoir suspension added to make it a softer riding truck than it was even before. Life is a definite equalizer sometimes. I go down fishing trails and still travel a lot of the two track prairie trails, but much slower than before,,,, haha. I hope your evening is going well.

The Jeep tried climbing a different area of the hill. Based on the fact that it wasn’t as rounded off at the top of the Jeeps path, it’s safe to assume fewer people had succeeded there. So the Bronco took the easy path.😏

Yes 3 liter turbo. Same engine that is in the explorer st. 400 hp but I think it might be tuned differently for the bronco raptor and make more power, not positive on that.

Obviously th Ford had a running start. The Jeep tried to take the hill from a dead stop at the foot of the hill. That little bit of extra momentum helps. Plus his RPMs were higher at the foot of the hill, thus having more torque at the begging of the climb.

The only thing that the bronco is better than the jeep at and I'm talking about the raptor bronco because that's the only one worth mentioning is flat out desert racing with the ifs. Jeep is still king and I've heard that from actual bronco owners. I do love ford especially the coyote engine but the bronco is a flop compared to the new 392 anniversary wrangler.
