Absolutely astonishing! The power and complexity of Lumenzia is more than I ever thought possible! Significant kudos to you GB for its creation, and for your very clear steps here and their attached precise explanations!
Excellent video, it's a great refresher on Lumenzia and plenty of tips. The application could certainly be used in many applications as Greg has said not just for editing an image with lightning. Well done.
Incredible !!! I found this tutorial so timely to understanding where I should be heading with processing. Especially different masking techniques. Thank you Greg 😊
Hey I’m new to lightning photography. And I’m planning a trip to Switzerland and Italy this summer to photograph it . Just two questions - on a canon eos what picture style should be used for lightning ? And what white balance should be used for dusk nighttime shots ? Thanks
I'm working on an image with very fine tendrils of lightning and finding I can not get a selection on those. The image is was taken late afternoon, and the tendrils are backed by medium dark grey sky. No problem getting a selection on the main bolts. I've tried using various levels of exposure for the sky during the initial processing for brightness/contrast as well as for the diff. I'm wondering if there is a limit as to how 'small' a selection can be processed. Any suggestions?
If the values are sufficiently different, you should be able to dial things in. You might need to work in phases with multiple selections if things are too similar to separate in a single attempt.

Thank you!
Wow, what a great tutorial! I love that you also show the dead end ideas, not just conjure the solution from your hat.
